It really is unfortunate that they haven't got round to creating models for Neimoidians in the Confederate Navy, or even pilot droids.

They found the time to create specialised droid fire crews who can't even operate the machines they were built for, in other words, just for a few cheap giggles, but they could not be bothered to recolour a regular B1 and replicate it.

One hand-wave of an explanation is that the Providence-class ships are built by the Quarren, whose concepts of ship standardisation are not the same as Kuat's. This could justify any discrepancies between the TCW Providences and the Invisible Hand. They're all part of the same Quarren ship class, but nowhere near identical, even in their basic layouts. Meanwhile, the Republic/Empire's star destroyers are all identical to other ships in their respective classes.

Does anyone know what time period during the Clone Wars the IH first appeared? I don't mean the first published material containing it, I mean the first In-universe sighting. Since we already have Phase II Clones, Revenge of the Sith styled Anakin and Obi-Wan, ARC-170s, Tri-Droids, and more, it seems like we are nearing the final stretch of the conflict.

    So, where is the IH?

To be fair, the Republic-owned battle droids from the Citadel trilogy are basically regular battle droids with blue markings, just like the pilot droids, so they could just use that.

And there was a pilot battle droid in Downfall of a Droid on Grievous's ship.

That would be nice to see. I would also like to see Lushros Dofine on the show.

I thought it was Artoo that found IH.. Anakin could have fought Grievous and IH with out actually boarding as well.

I find it rather irritating there haven't been any Security Battle Droids (red markings, no backpack) shown at any point during the show yet either, though there were heavily featured in TPM and ROTS. I'd love to have them appear someday. Until then, let's pass the waiting time by joining their conga!

I wonder when they'll give the Battle Droid's backpacks two antennas, instead of just the one they have now in the series?

It would be a great way for Lushros Dofine to be introduced to the show.

That droids are cute. Is it me or did the backpacks of them remember you to this guy? Also the Arms and Hands

Would be cool to see #5 in a cameo somewhere on a CIS Outpost.

Citadel had some security droids with red patterns -while those were not identical to patterns of the movie droids.

In fact nothing in TCW is exactly similar to movie. Vulture droids for example have differently placed insignias. I don't really care for such a little details though.

Surprisingly a single blue patterned pilot droid (while inaccurate) appears in Downfall of a Droid- after that they disappear (if we don't count Republic's battle droids with OOM-10)

His ship, which doesn't look any different from the others of that class, is just another thing that the EU had made more important than it really is. Nobody cares about Vader's star destroyer in ANH, so why should you care about Grievous'?

Because we've seen it's interior in the movies. And the Ep. III cross sections states that IH was "heavily modified."

Anakin tends to fly around in his fighter a lot, so it makes plenty of sense that he would have faced Grevious's ship, but not run into him personally.

The Invisible Hand only became infamous for all the war crimes Grievous committed with it.

Other than the fact that if it shows up, it won't be movie accurate. Show Providences are over 2 km long, the Invisible Hand and pre-show Providences are 1 km.
Thanks to EGTW we know these two models exist, so Filoni can either pull out the stops and get the Invisible Hand movie-accurate or retcon a retcon that makes the ship fighting in ROTS inaccurate, unless he wants to expand the size of all Venators, too. :p

Now that new CIS 'hardware' is showing up, maybe they'll make the Providence class cruisers more compact... <Just wishful thinking.

Since Dave Filoni himself said the new size was to make it fit with ROTS, when that movie showed the Invisible Hand to be the same size as a Venator, we won't. I'll be surprised if they even bother to change the bridge layout if it does appear.

I do hope the ship in the droids arc is THE Invisible Hand and that the TCW crew do change the bridge as it was in ROTS.

But in flotillas, the Flag/commandship is always from big importance. The Flagship of a military flottilla represents the Might and Power of a warParty.

It must be stronger and more defendable than the other ships, to stay operational in the battle until the last minute. Also it must be noticeable for everyone. The enemy and the own forces. So it can be used tacticaly to fasten the battle (ATTACKING the enemy at the front.) or slow down the battle (Pulling back behind the own lines).

Both actions can be noticed as BRAVENESS or COWARDNESS.

I think Vader's Devastator was also given a bigger part in post-Marvel EU, retconning its appearance in many different stories. Masters of the Force also described it getting structural alterations to hold more armaments and munitions compared to a stock ISD.

There's another backpack-less one that will appear in Season 5, I saw it in a preview. I think it's from the Droid arc since R2 is in the scene with it.
