I think this is why I love TCW so much because it really showcases their relationship and how close they are. I've never watched the micro-series...

Micro series didn't get to portray their relationship much because of the format, at least until the last, longer episodes. Those have some great Obi-Wan/Anakin moments.

Yes, let's be civilized and distribute the goods and the labor evenly... sigh....

I've never (gasp) seen any of the micro-series... I don;t suppose they are easily available for rent or download. Hm.

The microseries are very stylized with overthetop Jedi power, IMHO. There are some fine moments, tons of action, some character development.
When Obi-Wan escorts Anakin to his knighting (unknown to Anakin), the ungrateful whelp flat out tells Obi-Wan, "You're no Qui-Gon Jinn." Obi-Wan flinches, then Anakin apologizes and Obi-Wan brushes it off.

I get the impression I wouldn't enjoy it... I've seen a few clips but that is it and never a full episode. I do prefer my Jedi to have some weakness and not be all powerful.

Obi-Wan did pretty well in his scenes, but MACE especially was way over the top.

Considering the 5 minute length, you probably have seen a full episode. :p

I really enjoyed the micro-series. It was very stylized and - at times - a bit extreme, but it was a ton of fun to watch. :D

It was entertaining when I was a kid, but now, as a teen, I want more mature and sophisticated storytelling, and we're getting that with the current Clone Wars series. :D

I agree. At the time it was really exciting and fun to watch as a lead up to the movie, and I really really enjoyed it :D

Aww, thank you!! I really wanted the challenge of writing that conflict between them. They're both such easy going people, I don't think there would be many problems. But of course, with a baby, everything is different. All those things Aala would never ask for for herself, she has to ask for when in comes to Mira, or at least find a new way to balance that is okay for all of them. I just love writing Obi-Wan as a daddy, and all the problems that come with the cute

Hey guys, honest question sparked by an idea in another story. The Jedi fear the dark side. Would it be offensive to have a little toddler Jedi be scared of Mace, the "dark man"? The Jedi would be young enough to focus on outer characteristics, but once told how to look beyond that, would see the "inner light."

    I know! :_|

Deb has to be enjoying her rare time off with family or working on her story. Ruth's been a writing fool and recovering from a cold.

Snow? I love snow - watching it, playing in it. I HATE driving in it. With rare exceptions, we usually don't have to worry about it on main streets for any more than 3 days a year. Ice, now - we get more days of black ice than snow although thankfully the really bad days aren't too common.

I'm laughing about the snow because my kids' first experience with snow was at the Grand Canyon. They took ONE LOOK at that incredible, breath-taking sight, shrugged, and then hollered, "SNOW!" and proceeded to romp in it until hypothermia set in.
I was nonplussed at the time, but a wonderful thing the mind of a child is.
I mean, snow is as much a miracle in its own right as the Canyon.
