ST Get In Line - A Social Countdown to Episode VII

Well they weren't actually there there for 6 weeks. The line existed for 6 weeks, with people coming when they were off work or got out of class. They then logged their times so they could keep track of who was actually first in line. I don't recall leading up to the film how many days they were actually there.

I know we did a 3 day line-up. I was there all 3 days, but went back home each night to sleep in my bed as I had laryngitis.

 

I could see burning some vacation time for a day or two

This will be a whole new experience for me. I'll be working in the movie theater this time around instead of waiting in line. Maybe I can take some vacation for opening weekend.?

That makes a lot more sense! I was wondering who had the time/money to be in line that long!
Having never lived somewhere that these things happen, I don't really know how it works. I think we lined up 6 or 7 hours before midnight for ROTS and were pretty close to the front.

I could do several days, though I would like to find some people who would do it with me seeing as my roommates have already said no.

 

I'll grab tickets for the midnight showing for sure. My son will be 8 by then and he can come along. No way I'll ever wait in line again. That's a young person's game.

Yeah I run a movie theater, so I am da boss here. Oh I'm not saying that I won't be watching it early but I won't be with all my old friends this time. I live in a totally different part of the country now. TFN party in Salt Lake City at my movie theater?!

 

Yeah, sure, partaaaay! I understand the thing about not being able to see it with old friends. We were still in junior high and high school when my friends and I saw AOTC and ROTS. Now we're all over the country.

 

Anyone know any good babysitters? I'll need one in 3 years so I can get in line for Ep VII. Or I'm strapping the kid on like Dagobah Luke did with Yoda. Either way, count me in!

 

I will definitely do the midnight showing, visiting the line (assuming there is one) a few times when I can slip away from work.

The only li e I ever spent serious time at was the AOTC one and it was a lot of fun.

I wonder if Episode VII will be shown in IMAX. That could be spectacular.
