I hate to be saying these same three words over and over again, but...

Grand Admiral Thrawn.

 

Tough call between Thrawn, Mara or Pallaeon.....damn you Zahn for creating awesome characters.

Completely agree. Love me some Thrawn and Pellaeon. Probably Thrawn since he is such an epic character and would be the perfect 'villain'.

 

Mara Jade seems to be the only post RotJ EU character I can think of that they almost have to use.

With the talk of a expanded universe of movies...it might be fun if they made movies that were a part of the universe but not necessarily and episodes (7,8,9)...I might be alone but I always liked Shadows of the Empire...could be an excuse for them to put vader in a 'new' movie??

It'd be hilarious if there were a character named Anakin Solo ('cause it'd be obvious for Leia to name her kid that) but he had nothing to do with the EU character.

Yeah, that and Ben Skywalker... it's not like those names are terribly hard for any writer to come up with. They're natural. I wouldn't mind them being used for unrelated characters.

I think Mara might be the only one that I would even be okay with them using. It's possible they could have some variations on other characters, but... yeah. Even as not a fan of the EU, I confess that if Luke is in it or addressed, then he'd most likely be married and it would be a bit weird to have that character be someone besides Mara. She's one of the few characters I feel is solidly cemented in my head as a canon character from the EU.

Well I've seen people commenting on the fact Leia's arc with Darth Vader wasn't wrapped up so what better way to do that than by having a kid named Anakin? I would hope movie Anakin is similar to EU Anakin but that's not a real sticking point for me. I just hope it happens since Lucas was the one who decided Anakin should be killed in the NJO due to the possibility of mixing Anakin Skywalker and Anakin Solo up

 

Kyle Katarn, I dont think he has been mentioned yet. I have limited knolodge after RotJ and the NJO. What I do know has to do with some of the Legacy Comics and the games. Im mostly an Old Republic era fan when it come to the EU.
