ST Get In Line - A Social Countdown to Episode VII

Well, well, well. This place seems to have changed a little.

 

One hundred and twenty seventh in line!

 

So this is where this Star Wars thing is supposed to happen on the forums. Weird. Hey guys.

I'll definitely check out all official info for E7, but not insane 3SA-level where the entire thing is spoiled.

I knew about Snowball....but i had NO CLUE about the others...when and how did they pass?

 

Cara died of cancer ... wow, a few years ago now I think. I'm vague on the others.

 

TSL also had cancer. TWD was in a car accident.

Then of course there are the others we'll never know passed on. But I will pretend they transformed into the force (midichlorians?) and whispered into George's ear to sell Lucasfilm.

 

Yeah I kept thinking about Cody at work and how weird it is he is not here.

 

Dang, that's making me feel old and kind of wrong for missing all of that.
I guess that's what happens when Darth Real Life takes over.

 

I'm still deciding how spoiled I want to be. With the prequels, I decided on being mostly unspoiled, because like most fans I already knew the basic story and that some characters would die and others would live. To make up for that, I preserved some of the novelty by staying unspoiled and not looking at pictures, production videos, or leaked stuff.

With a "sequel" episode, of course, we have absolutely no clue what the story will be like. That's the most exciting thing to me. I don't suppose I'll mind seeing pictures and stuff like that (it'll be like putting together a puzzle, but ending up fantastically wrong, anyway), but I'll avoid rumored "leaked scripts" like the plague. I'm treading dangerously, I suspect.

 

I've been feeling the same way.

 

I haven't been active on these forums in 7 years (except when I logged in once to complain about the ROTJ "NOOOO") but I am pretty excited to have a reason to come back! Bring it on Disney!

 

Snowball mellowed eventually and it was sad to learn of his passing. Good man and his presence will be missed.
