ST Who's The Baddie?

If you go just on movies, all the Dark Jedi (AKA ""Sith"") are dead, so whose the baddie going to be?

I'm guessing newly trained Jedi gone wrong.

I'm guessing not Darth Maul's living tissue over a metal endo-skeleton.

I've never heard of this Whose, so I'm not sure if they're the villain or not.

 

I for one hope it is NOT a Dark Jedi or a Sith or anyone Force-sensitive.

The villain should be a brand new and fresh threat to the New Republic who can best Luke Skywalker and force Skywalker's heir to battle him through the three films.

I have no idea who or what the villain could be, but he MUST be as/or more iconic as Darth Vader for this trillogy and appear in all three movies for a villain to work

Yes, a new Jedi falling to the Dark Side and resurrecting the Sith is the most likely answer. But they could adapt some of the EU stories, so it could be Thrawn, it could be the Yuuzhan Vong, it could be a clone of Palpatine, it could be anyone.

 

Expanded Universe characters except Plagueis. They will be changed from what we know but it could happen. Plagueis coming back would tie in ROTS with the ST

 

Cloned Sidious, or an entire new bad guy. I would love to see Ian McDiarmid be Sidious again.

Seriously, I'm not really sure. This is perhaps one of the most important nuts to crack in another set of films: how do you create a new villain that isn't a retread yet still poses as great, or greater, danger as what has come before?

How do you top Palpatine, Vader and Maul?

Someone who doesn't use the force but has force users under him/her.

 

Luke's kid? Leia's kid? The Emperor becoming a force ghost and corrupting Luke or Leia's kid?

 

Hasn't TCW tossed in the idea of "canon" force-witches or witches of Dathomir? Might be a thing.

 

Sequel Trilogy.

 

I doubt any of those since they are staying away from EU stuff. I would like to see an invasion force of sorts like in the NJO series but make it different. At least it would be something new.

 

That was a problem I had with the PT. Maul was one movie, Dooku was two movies, Jango was one movie, Grievous one movie. Palpatine all 3 movies but not seen in AOTC until end. We need a iconic villain with a dominating presence like Vader.

 

Yep there was no reason to kill off Maul in TPM. He was marketable and played a good foil to Obi-Wan. He should have stuck through for three movies.

Having a strong villain will be one of the things that make or break this trillogy.

 

Not the Emperor. Nothing to do with Vader. Definitely not Maul (who was awesome and woefully underused). But, I definitely want to see a Sith Lord. And I agree Force Smuggler, I want the villain to be dominant and evil.

 

I would guess the Emperor had backup Force borns on some hidden planet in case Vader either died or betrayed him.

 

The Borg. Disney just needs to write another check and we're off.
