Speculation Appreciation - We're all talking about Star Wars again!

With the big announcement this week, I would just love to point out THAT WE ARE ALL TALKING ABOUT STAR WARS again, and in a lot of meaningful ways. It's fun to be a fan again.

 

It's a good thing to use to bring people together, except the bashing/arguing stuff lol

 

It's exciting times once again for sure!

 

Hooray for talking about Star Wars!

 

I'm always talking about Star Wars -- some way or another.

Just last week -- the husband got me the movies on Blu-ray (they were out of my personal budget for a long time) for my birthday last week!

 

This is awesome. I felt like the Star Wars community was starting to fizzle out a little bit after ROTS, but now...WHEE!

 

My output at work has suffered significantly in the past 2 days because of this, all I can do is talk and post about it. I'm worried my boss is going to walk into my lab and say 'I find your lack of work...disturbing'

 

In all honesty, the last time I felt this excited about Star Wars was May 1991...I was 17...I randomly walked into a bookstore and saw this blue coloured book with a big gold Star Wars logo on it called "Heir to the Empire", I read the back synopsis and started trembling with excitement. I bought it and read the first 100 pages right in the mall. These were the days when all I had to fuel my love of Star Wars was the WEG role playing game source books. I had that same feeling when I heard the episode "Episode VII" announcement, trembling, wondering "what is going to happen next?". I was excited about the prequels, but this is something else that I can't quite describe.

 

Everyone enjoys a bit of bashing.

 

I feel the same way and I think the greater excitement is because this one really feels like a blank slate. We knew what the prequels had to do, and they had a lot of known story to establish.

The fact that these movies can really cover just about anything gives a new excitement.

 

It's completely crazy - I've posted more in this forum in the last two days than I've posted in every Star Wars dedicated board combined in... basically the entire time I've been here. If you'd ever told me that would happen, I'd've called you a liar.

 

If I had time to post, I'd be dittoing Ramza's statement. This is what this board had needed for some time.

 

I think it's funny that the timing happened as it did... as I started googling anything I could about a possible future Star Wars movie back in the spring. Never had high hopes about it happening, but the hunger for more was getting very strong... now that hunger will be satisfied!!!!!

 

Yes it's great to see everyone talking about star wars. It's a great time to be a star wars fan.

 

Well, the cursing's a given.

 

Some of us never stopped... or ever stop for that matter.

 

It's going to be a fun ride that's for sure.

I didnt know I still had it in me. It's really nice, this natural high
