Speculation "Star Wars 2: Episode I" instead of "Episode VII"

    ^ Does anyone know what all of those movies have in common? They are all direct sequels, and that's exactly what we're getting with Episode VII.

    So if they ever decide do "Clone Wars" do we call it Star Wars episode 2.1 Clone Wars???
    And what about the 20 year time period between 3 and 4? Star Wars episode 3.1? Order 66 continues? Episode 3.2 Rise of the Rebels?

    I would imagine they would either ditch the episode numbers or introduce a sub-title.

    Like

    Star Wars: Clone Wars
    Episode I

    (to differentiate it from Star Wars: Episode I)

    Or they could use "chapters" like the original Clone Wars microseries did.

    Because what if they decide to make a trilogy of films about the Jedi defeating the Sith 1,000 years prior to TPM? That's not going to be Episodes -II, -I, 0 8-}

    Instead it might be:

    Star Wars: (insert subtitle)
    Chapter 1
    Name of Chapter
