He also mentions he's talked to his "fave" director and he is buzzing about it being a dream gig.

 

Even if he is just hoping Luke returns, I hope Luke returns for at least one of the ST films too and wish for more than that.

 

Luke HAS to be in this to connect it,even if its a small master jedi obi-wan type role!

 

It's just a joke - Mark Hamill appears as himself in the opening of Mark Millar's series Secret Service, and apparently the actual Mark Hamill has agreed to cameo in the film version as Mark Hamill as himself.

 

Be nice if he put it that way.

 

He's not allowed to joke about such things. Now I look like a tool.

 

Sounds more like an assumption to me.

 

Millar is notorious for making **** up. Take anything he says with a sizable amount of salt.

 

And just because it is episode vii that doesn't mean the film will follow chronologically after the events of episode vi. It's just the seventh episode of the series. It's like comics. Tell a story in volumes 1-4. Shift characters and emphasis in volumes 5-9. Etc etc.

 

That way madness lies.

 

This. If you believed anything Mark Millar said, by now we'd all be buying blu-rays of a "godfatheresque" superman film trilogy written by Millar himself.

He makes stuff up to promote himself. In this case he's leapfrogging on the star wars thing to hype his own project.

 

If this were the case then the first six movies would have been released in regular numerical order.

 

I don't trust the source but am hopeful for Hamil's return. 

 

Mark Millar doesn't know anything. Especially how to write.
