Given the polling, there's no way a Romney victory in New Jersey would stand as legitimate.

The only question is, will there be legal challenges? They really should have delayed the vote.

That would literally take an act of Congress, and would have to be the same day for the whole country.

The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States. - Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 4.

Exactly... I don't trust any of these machines and databases further than I can throw them. Keep it simple.

It's paper ballots for Arizona. Makes sense to me.

You need a transparent all-of-the-above strategy. Voting should be like my sons' swim meets. We have touch pads to decide who won, button back ups, and timers manually writing down times. It all goes into the timing console and then the meet manager program. The timing console spits out a printed record. If anything looks fishy, we compare across the various records of what happened, including the official's picks. And if we can't decide how to decide, we go to the officials for a ruling.

It looks like 9 year olds at a YMCA swim meet can have more confidence about their results than voters in Ohio.

I ended up driving two hours to vote, when I could've voted just a block from my current address had I switched my jurisdiction in time. Lancaster County is solidly red, while Philadelphia is solidly blue, so not a big deal either way. I saw more Romney signs along one block in Lancaster than I have driving around Philly these past few weeks.

I had no issues using a machine to vote for Obama. I really hope we will have already heard Romney's concession speech 12 hours from now.

BUT, to be fair to Roslin, the legitimate winner was a disaster, no?

Neither Roslin, Adama, or anybody could have known for a certainty what would happen in Baltar's administration at the time they tried to steal the election. They also did not know about Baltar's past crimes (even if Roslin had suspicions, but at that point, that's all they were).

    Voted!

Romney is apparently going to do some last minute campaigning in VA.......that isn't good.

Was pretty stoked to see long lines at my polling place this morning. The next big thing will be the supporters of whoever loses saying they lost because the other guy cheated. Hannity’s probably wailing and gnashing his teeth about it right now, regardless of the actual outcome.

already getting first-hand reports of voter suppression of latinos here in AZ

here's colley's final map, logged at 7AM this morning: Obama 304, Romney 234. ohio, virginia, colorado, pennsylvania, nevada, new hampshire, wisconsin and one of nebraska's electoral votes to obama.

apparently his choice of virginia to Obama was somewhat arbitrary because in terms of his mathematical method, virginia is a toss-up. looking forward to see if his accuracy track record holds...

Long lines here too. Waited over an hour to get to the booth.

Voted primarily for the state constitution amendments. Selected Libertarian for the Presidency.

    Voted :D

But yes, I did end up voting for a Republican for Congress. We deserve someone better. And the GOP is likely to stay in the majority anyways. If Doherty wins, and ruins his chance, then he easily be replaced in 2 years.

Yes, I know it would have taken an act of Congress to move Election Day, but they should have acted, IMHO.

Rogue, I wanted to vote for Lindsay, but I live in ****ing California. And apparently you're not allowed to vote for socialists if you live in California.

There was absolutely no line at my polling place at 8 am this morning. There were like three other voters.

I meant to vote for Jill Stein, since there's not much danger of MN going to Romney, but I jumped the gun and voted for Obama out of habit (or some sort of voodoo). But I did vote 3rd party for Senator, not that there's any hope of the Grassroots Party winning a seat. :p

I exercised my right to waste my vote. Third party voting in the midst of Philly's voters filing like drone ant colonies to pull a lever based solely on their love of the color blue.

Checking the box for Jill Stein was my favorite voting moment of the past six elections with the exception of voting for Obama in 2008.

If I were designing electronic voting machines, I'd give them sound effects, like a derisive snort whenever someone casts a ballot for a third party candidate.

Or a cash register "Ka-ching" when someone votes for the GOP.
