The one thing that's always bothered me about TCW: why no Bothans?

    Bothans are lame.

Another puppy with fur (lots of fur.)

    in my own canon:
I think Raymus Antilles was the one which sabotated the Death Star shortly after ROTS and gave that Information to Leia years later, on board of the Tantive4. The only reason for General Dodona to claim it was the Bothans, was to secure the Lifes of Antilles´s Family. Otherwise Sidious had slaughtered them, like he slaughtered the puppy Bothans. lol

You may ask, how he sabotated it? In the Orbit of Kashyyk he removed a ray shield of the Ventilation Exhaust. That was easy in the early stage of the Death Star skeleton building.

It was not a stupid Engineering Mistake which lead to destruction of the most superb kill vehicle in the history, like the dumb EU claims. ;)

    Bevel Lemelisk was a Genius.

Dodona was old and senile. he confused it maybe. No bothan can enter an imperial facility without beeing detected in my canon. no sir. [face_not_talking]

i never saw carpets on the deathstar corridors! NEVER!! They were blank, polished metal.

imperials would immediatly detect all the hairs on the ground, which this furballs loose everytime so unhygienicly. ewww.

    haha

Lucas needs to change Mon Mothma's line in ROTJ to, "Many Geonosians died to bring us this information."

I thought Filoni had made reference to originally intending to visit Bothawui in Season One, but that the idea was dropped for time/resources. I assume that if we visited the planet, that we would have seen bothans. Don't know why they never recycled the idea for a later story.

We might see them, who knows? If Tusken Raiders appeared, then I could see Bothans definitely.

    Research this, I will.

Wookieepedia on the changing appearance of Bothans:

Bothan physical appearances differ noticeably in various Expanded Universe sources. Timothy Zahn first describes the species in his Heir to the Empire novel, and illustrations for the Heir to the Empire Sourcebook from West End Games show them as fairly Human-like creatures with fur. The Heir to the Empire comic depicts the Bothans differently, as largely fur-faced with long snouts. The Shadows of the Empire comics follow the lead of the West End Games sourcebooks, as do the Shadows of the Empire Planets Guide, Star Wars: Rebellion, the Star Wars Customizable Card Game, and the Databank(this last source uses the image from the card and was the main image for some time). Meanwhile, long-snouted Bothans appear in later EU games and publications. The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons shows Bothans as an average between the two extremes.

Filoni gave us a Selkath so I'm sure we'll see a Bothan at some point.

And that picture is awesome. Is it a Chris Trevas?

Y'know what makes life easier? Using "Tag & Bink Are Dead" as canon!

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Manuel_Both-Hanz

"Manny Both-Hanz died to bring us this information."―Mon Mothma[src]

"In 4 ABY, it was Manny who discovered the existence of the second Death Star; he was also able to pinpoint the exact location of the Emperor's new battle station in the Endor system, and learned that the Emperor himself would be personally overseeing the final stages of the construction.
To communicate this information to the Alliance high command, he made a rendezvous with Tag Greenly and Bink Otauna on Tatooine. Tragically, he was shot by Boba Fett in an altercation in Mos Eisleyspaceport, but Tag and Bink successfully passed on the information to Mon Mothma, enabling the Rebellion to destroy the Empire."

It would be nice to see some decent bothans isntead of the usual machiavellian schemers we get.
