Why isn't the SW universe more diverse?

    There was an Asian pilot in ROTJ. The one that said "There's too many of them" referring to Tie Fighters

    And then he DIED. And that's a funny line comin from a Chinamen. His only line was "There's too many of them". There are over a billion of them on that tiny island nation. See? Gorge Lucas was makin fun of all of us. I hope Disney get's real and we get some Episode 1,2,3,4,5,6, reparations in episode 7.

    I'll keep this open, if the discussion is going to be serious. If it's going to be a wave of sarcastic responses then I'll lock it. If it's going to be a thread full of pictures or links that don't advance the discussion, I'll lock it. Just to be very clear.

    To respond to the thread;

    The first thing was particularly un-diverse (the Yavin medal scene comes to mind), but then it also had the Cantina scene, one of the most diverse scenes in the OT bar Jabba's Palace. There are plenty more gender and skin balanced portrayals in the PT, if we're to focus on just human diversity.
