Yeah, I reread that half an hour after the fact and saw that I misinterpreted which that you were talking about. I figured it was beyond standard editing times when i'd gone back and saw where I misread that so I wasn't going to go back and edit my mistake out just because I could, and I wasn't going to distract the conversation that had moved on beyond that with a fresh post on it.

Yeah, it is truly amazing how Team Romney didn't have a back up plan in case their projection of the electorate had failed. Team Obama were just as confident in victory, but even they had different models of the electorate done by their pollsters just in case.

 

yeah he should have had a backup plan like hack into every server that stored electoral results information and change all the blue states into red ones and vice versa and then say hey look everybody! i won! i mean c'mon that's priority number one for all president-runners.

 

These people were warned that if they messed with Medicare they'd pay a price. But they thought, **** that, we'll just pit current seniors against future seniors, that'll work!

 

Not only that, but we'll also alienate gays, hispanics, blacks, women, the young and the middle class. Surely there will be enough wealthy white men to replace those losers?

I mean seriously, the GOP systematically alienated everyone that wasn't a rich white male over the course of this election. I think binders full of women was probably the final nail in the coffin after the rape comments, the Sandra Fluke thing, and the various idiotic comments candidates made about women's rights.

 

Not to mention Republican run state legistatures/governers doing everything they could to look up women's skirts and restrict their reproductive rights.

Just came across this, and thought it was interesting.

 

While it's no shock that the South continues to follow the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow, I think this over-simplistic comparison whitewashes (lol) "blue" states' own racist past and present. For example, my home state of California segregated Mexican-Americans in schools until the Supreme Court smacked them down in 1947. Besides having been a Union state, we just had the advantage of not having a lot of black people until the second Great Migration (and that went fine) and having our population ballooned by immigration.

That is to say, lol white people.

Seriously, I should not laugh at some of that. It's really quite disturbing. But some are just so scary intense, that, though they seem like cartoon characters, I have to keep reminding myself they actually belief this ****. And that definitely scares me far more than it amuses me.
