Unless it's a religion based school, or the class is about religions, there really is no place for religion to be in a school.

It's too sensitive a topic as of now with all the different issues.

I don't know what should be done about this, but I feel that Atheism is a religion to, and that you can't have a school without a religious bias of some sort. Like teachers teaching that evolution is a 100% proven fact, and no explanation otherwise can be suggested. No discussion can be entered into. Even privately after class. That bothers me.

Ok, they do teach evolution and religion together, at least that's how I had classes. We had a chapter comparing the two.
We also had to write a paper on the pros and cons of each theory.
But it took until high school before those classes started.

Assemblies are not the place, unless it's a debate of some sort. If they will talk about Jesus in an assembly, then they should also be having assemblies talking about Darwin.

 

the principles of western civilisation and law were not based around Darwin, a man like the rest of us.
