Chat, basically. Sometimes there's more chat here than discussion. And I love you all, so I put up with it, but if I was some random noob reading pages after pages of hello, hello, hello, how are you ________s I would be bored and turned off.

IRC is cool. You can set rooms so they are only open to certain people, have multiple rooms for different discussions, it's easy to PM, or comment to only one member.
I could go on.

 

Also, boards.theforce.net is banned at where I spend the days mon-fri. IRC isn't.

 

We could start an IRC channel for us.

 

Somebody isn't a completly computer/technology nerd....I see.

 

Banned websites included deviantart for adult.art, boards.theforce.net for forums (although theforce.net isn't banned), Yahoo Answers UK because it is an international website (Yahoo Answers 'merica isn't). Youtube for audio.visual, although Vimeo isn't.

 

Dailymotion is normally ok... Have you tried Grooveshark for music?

I don't really care. But I would love to be able to go on here during the day.
