For those that can't tell, my latest post is a commentary on the weather here in Ohio, which is largely the same as Eusebus weather. Here in Ohio, we had lows at or below freezing and highs in the 40s or low 50s for the past week. Today and tomorrow is forecasted to reach upper 60s with tomorrow night only getting down into the low 50s. Then Monday will only reach 53, and then we're back to where we were the past week with lows below freezing.

Unlike Marte, I'm not sick... yet.

It'll be ready for 272. Blame the referee's union for it not being done in time for this season.

And yes, I decided to do the roof at the beginning of 270 with the intention of announcing it at the end of the season and being done for this season. Then the boards moved, and we decided that the refs had delayed the season several months, and I realized that there wasn't enough time left in the offseason for the construction crew to plausibly finish in time. So the refs really are to blame. Or you can blame IGN. I don't have a preference either way.

 

I'm just glad I don't have to go on the road to your place this season.

 

The playoffs are always a possibility, but by then Eusebus will be knocking on the door of summer, and you'll be more concerned with hot temperatures.

Also, don't forget that the roof, when finished, will be retractable, and the Storm will control whether it's open or closed. The intent is to keep the harsh winter weather, mainly snow, that they'll be seeing during the season for the next ten years or so out, not to create a "bubble" in which the weather is always perfect.

Man, this Limmie stuff is the only thing keeping me sane these days.

 

My takeaways after 2 weeks:

• Remember that talk about the Solo Conference being all that? Apparently not in interconference play. Though I have no doubt when conference play starts next week it's going to become real messy.
• Man, that Kerry Trieste chick chose the wrong time to start a war. Rydonni Prime is missing those starters up front.
• The consistency award goes to Ryloth with wins of 27-16 and 23-12 thus far.
• Euceron should really rethink that roof these days.
• It looks like the Miners are trying their best to score their way to a championship, which today obviously proved has its problems.
• If these trends keep up, there are going to be some very unhappy teams in the Skywalker Conference. I'm thinking that we're going to see Solo Conference playoff teams with worse records than teams on the outside looking in in the Skywalker Conference.

But hey, we're only two weeks in.

It's still early. And beginner's luck is always present. All new teams do well their first season.
