Speculation What Actress Should Play A Young Female Skywalker Jedi ? (Images)

Since Summer seems to be getting some attention

 

It should be illegal to be that beauftiful

 

Well I just looked up Summer's film plans. She has nothing on the go apart from a film due out next year, which is already in post-production.

You never know!

 

The unspoken question is whether or not she's locked for Whedon's SHIELD series. But even then, nothing says she couldn't do both.

 

Imagine being a young actress and getting contacted with the question how would you like to be a Jedi in Star Wars? And not just any Jedi, a Skywalker.
Whoever lands that spot has good paydays coming and perpetual work, unless they kill her off, but if she is a Skywalker she should have at least a 3 film life span maybe longer, look at Luke.
This would be a coveted role and I am sure there would be competition for it.

 

Summer fits the role better than the rest.
The other girls posted here don't really have any...presence. They remind me a bit too much of a cliche chick-flick romantic comedy or sitcom material.

Summer, on the other hand, has something about her stance and is a bit more "tougher looking" than the others.
Besides, Firefly rocks.
She would be a good choice.

 

That's because she gets "it."

She's been in a few genre productions already with Firefly & Terminator.

 

Summer Glau is a bit of a big name though isn't she? Plus she's done almost all sci-fi TV shows for the last 10 years, anyone who does a big SW role really shouldn't be typecast as someone else (Ford is, but that was after he did Han Solo).

Plus there the Summer Curse where everything she's in seems to get cancelled. Not a good sign

 

In this pic she looks like she'd rather be doing just about anything than just standing there...with that saber...in that goddamn forest...and that fog...**** that fog...I hate it here.

 

I vote for Jennifer Lawrence.

 

Emma has been pretty adamant about wanting to stay away from large film franchises. But you never know.

 

She's alright, seems like a really nice girl and all - and I do understand she wants to avoid being typecast.
On a personal note, I don't think she'd be the right choice for Star Wars anyway.

 

Jennifer Lawrence is a beauty too, for sure. BUT she looks kinda Baywatch when she's blonde. Besides, wasn't she in Hunger Games?

alphas didnt get canceled(yet) but the only issue with summer is she always seems to get roles where the character is , for lack of a better word, damaged (or a robot)

She has the sort of attitude that I could believe she is the fiery offspring of Han and Leia. Alas she is VERY busy these days.

 

Second that, too much of a nerd. Not hardcore enough for Star Wars

 

I'm not sure we'll get big names anyway. Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen for example were fairly obscure before their roles in the PT.

 

Not to mention young. Summer is basically Hayden and Natalie's age.

I'll second (or whatever number is reached by now) Summer Glau - as an emotionally stable Jedi with no dark side tendancies

I agree with Blue_Jedi33 that Olivia Wilde could make a good Jaina. She looks like the way Jaina is portrayed on the book covers and other books like the Essential Reader's Companion.

 

Wow, I didn't realise she was 31. I always think of her as young River forget that show was so long ago now...

Still though. it remains to be seen how old the Skywalker kids (if there are any, but it seems a damn good bet) will be. The big three will be old, their kids could easily be in the mid-late 20s, which Summer could pull off easily. I think the best potential for any Skywalker kids though is to have at least one that is a young Jedi in training. By their late 20s they should already be experienced Jedi Knights.

 

What about Berenice Marlohe? She looked pretty awesome in Skyfall.
