Isn't that the basic premise of the Austrian School? Saying how if one thinks critically about it the whole school of thought is reveled to be ideological hogwash that is the ideological equivalent to Marxism, but only on the right.

on topic, this book is on my "to read" list near the top. anyone happen to have read it?

bonus points if you can compare/contrast it with David Harvey's Brief History of Neoliberalism and The Strange Non-Death of Neoliberalism. harvey's the devil i know in this case, but his book on the neoliberal conquest of the world is the oldest and presumably least up to date. significantly, it predates the 2008-???? crisis (although im familiar with his thoughts on that from some of his online lectures and from reading The Enigma of Capital)

 

Neoliberalism has been deadly in China, lifting millions into the middle class. Terrible stuff.
