    It's confirmed (via Pablo and other sources) that we're looking at 7, 8 & 9.

    Just that what makes up the political tapestry and backstory of those books that made them so enjoyable isn't just the backdrop of the films. So, to assume the backdrop of the new films overwriting the existing EU would be more interesting on it's own by default (compared to a films + EU backdrop) is a flawed assumption.

    Yeah, just rumors and extrapolated, vague analysis (generational gaps between the trilogies, talk of Luke in the OBi-Wan role from long ago, etc).

    He um.... adopted. After that Jacen fiasco. Oh wait he already did that. Ok Allana had a sex change then.

    (frankly I won't give a damn if the film obliterates LOTF/FOTJ....)

    My brother said that he would watch the sequel trilogy for one thing:

    Leia has some important function to go to, and Han is being dragged along and he can't figure out what to wear, and Chewie is getting frustrated with him.

    He would pay our outrageous ticket prices for a scene like that.
