Shiney things may catch my attention from a distance but close up they are just shiney not better

 

Shiny things definitely catch my attention.

I leave them unless they are money or precious metal/gemstones.

 

Take that and add some really long shots from nature shows and a few beheadings you've got a PJ adaptation of Tolkien

 

Would rather have actual location shooting than George Lucas on a completely green set screaming at Ewan McGregor "Look at the moons!"

i actually had to go to the answer sheet and work backwards. i do it in math all the time. sometimes online has its drawbacks.

Not quite. I don't think you quite grasp the obsession over these spheres of shiny light. The elves have a civil war, fight Morgoth, and Middle-Earth is nearly destroyed over these things.
And that's not really accurate as well. There are stories and things. A section of about 20 pages (a specific section, not any 20 pages) could easily be a Jackson-length movie.

I have a sore spot for The Hobbit because years ago, when I was a kid going to a certain summer camp for the second year, the play we were doing in the drama part of the programming was an adapted version of The Hobbit. Last year, we had done Treasure Island, and I was the lead, and I deserved it. The second year, my school was letting out late, and I had to finish school, which meant that I missed the first day of camp, when auditions were done for the play. The guy in charge knew me from last year, so didn't give me the very smallest role, but the next smallest - instead of just being one of the two Spiders, I got to be the Head Spider! I had one whole line all to myself! And so I spent the next week or so just sitting there for hours while Bilbo Baggins had adventures with elves. Yay.

 

Greenie beany: awwwwww im trying to get into the whole thing, but i prefer harry potter or artemis fowl.
