I'm going to actually play through an entire Civilization game instead of starting a new one when it doesn't go my way
I'm going to get through my backlog. The titles I have left to play are: Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions Spider-Man Edge of Time Infamous 2 Darksiders After that, I'm actually going to immediately start playing a game when I get it rather than put it off for a month or two. Unless I'm in the middle of something when Mass Effect 3 comes out. At which point everything gets dropped for that.
Gonna try and make it to platinum league in Starcraft 2. I jumped up two leagues the first half a year the game was out, but I stayed on Gold this entire year. blah.
I'm going to actually complete as many games as I can this year. It'll take a while but I'll still try.
Man, I'm so guilty of this one too. That and restarting to reduce difficulty or otherwise stack the deck in my favour ... My resolution: to resist Steam sales. They're how I've ended up with a huge stack of games I'll never play ...
1) Find a way to get interested in Skyrim. 2) Play Mass Effect 3 'til I get every possible ending with either Bro or FemShep...unless the final product dissapoints me to the point of my becoming a weeping wreck of a man. 3) Never buy another shooter.
That's funny. My patience was tested so much by previous AC games that I completely lost interest in Revelations.
Really? You're one of the biggest ac fans I know. I just started Revelations btw. Good start, but it slowed down a lot since the intro. I'm still enjoying it, but yeah, it may be a while before I do another ac game.
My new years resolution is still 1920x1080. I thought about getting a bigger monitor, but my GPU has enough work to do as it is.
I rented it yesterday off a Redbox kiosk just to kill some time. I'm really not feeling it. Too much been-there-done-that. And some of the innovations (in particular the Den Defense minigame) have left me cold. I'm glad I didn't dish out $60 for it when it first came out (and now I've seen copies being sold at $40 over at GameStop).
I would say these ones but I know there's no way I'm keeping them. To progress more than an hour in an Elder Scrolls game.
This year its back to playing Nintendo Gamecube games such as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Metroid Prime 2, Resident Evil Code Veronica, The Simpsons Hit and Run and hopefully this year I will buy Viewtiful Joe 2 thats still in small town department stores for just 2.99
Or if I don't have good resources (namely stone) after my first 2-3 cities. Or if I don't like the color of my civ.
Well, I'm almost 50% done with this year's resolution. Regarding the first part, I just started Infamous 2 this past week and I intend to get some off it done this weekend...up until I pick up my Wii U. At which point I'll be dropping it again. So far I like the first Infamous much better. As for the second part of my resolution, that was a complete bust. I delayed most of my games this past year to some extent and I added significantly to my backlog due to some awesome Humble Indie Bundles and GOG.com sales.
I do believe my NYR, which I'll have to do before Jan 1, is to contribute something to David Braben's Kickstarter to make a new Elite. If he stretched 64K to its absolute maximum back in the 80s, I shudder to think what he'll do with the computing power available today.
Well I sunk a hundred hours or so into Skyrim so I guess I made mine. I now want another Platinum Trophy before the end of the year...AC2 is the game. Stupid feathers.
