Episode VII - The Gungan Centipede

My favorite (I don't know if it has been suggested or not) for the moment is... Star Wars: Episode VII: The Dark Legacy. It matches the other trilogy-opening titles (The Phantom Menace, A New Hope) grammatically (the + adjective + noun).
The title would suit a story in which an aging Luke Skywalker, Jedi Master, struggles with the past, with his heritage (the dark legacy so to speak), and it could insinuate a number of themes or overarching plots.

Star Wars VII: It's a Trap

I think some of us are throwing title names out there because they sound cool when what we need to do is match the name to what we think the story arc might be

He first film in both the OT and PT had a vague, mysterious title. I think we that should be case with ep. 7

Ep. 7 isnt going to hav a fun, celebratory theme. MY guess is it will be about master skywalker struggling to reform the jedi order whilst leia struggles to rebuild the republic. Meanwhile a new threat emerges.

Ep. 8 is likely to concern the new jedi order or 1 particular jedi moving forward towards their destiny.

Ep. 9 is likely to be a celebration of the force and possibly an explanation as to a deeper meaning of the force/prophecy. For what it's worth, I also reckon leia will emerge as the real chosen one.

With that being said, my ideas for title names are:

Ep. 7: shadows in the dark (not entirely happy with this one but I think the word shadow or storm should be used)
Ep.8: the path of a jedi
(or a jedi's path. Also, the word jedi could be replaced with hero)
Ep. 9: the will of the force (really like the idea of this as it connects with TPM)

 

Been done.

 

That actually connects with both 3 and 6 as well, as we see the Sith rise in Episode 3 and the the Jedi Return in Episode 6. Both groups who use opposing views of the force to serve heir own ends. Hypothetically speaking you could say that the "final battle" between good and evil could happen and the force could - well, i'll just say negate itself - in lieu of saying anything else.
