No. I really mean it. Because WC2 had the best songs ever.

Gears of War 3's soundtrack is out, and it is EPIC. I'd go so far to say Jablonsky did a better job on this score than Transformers 3.

There's a soundtrack under all of the gunfire? :p

Have any of the Zelda fans in this thread ever listened to Zelda Reorchestrated? Some of the tracks suck, quite frankly, but I find the majority of the reorchestrations to be quite impressive.

Skyrim music has leaked on youtube!

I remember way back in the day Morrowind came out, the only reason I got into the game was because I came across the theme song first and was immediately sold. :p

To me, nothing will ever beat the TIE Fighter soundtrack. Just listening to it makes you think, hey the Empire isn't THAT bad....

I have to say that I adore the Skyrim and Dragon Age Origins sound tracks. The vocals are amazing.

The Old Republic has an outstanding soundtrack. There are some fantastic rearrangements of already existing themes and some pretty awesome new ones.
This one in particular is my favorite.

If Episode VII's soundtrack is even half a good I'll be satisfied.

A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening are the best Zelda soundtracks around. I recently went to The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses and Link's Awakening was by far the best movement. Saddest of the bunch but really great. Would go to the concert again for that alone. Also really enjoyed the soundtrack for Assassin's Creed 1 and 2. In particular, "Venice Rooftops":

    "Ezio's Family":

And from the first one, "Chase Theme":

For now, I'll just like my favorite franchise with some of the best video game music: Halo.

Have to agree - I listen to this CD as much as the JW ones now, I love this soundtrack. (Except for maybe the last couple of Cantina tracks)

A mention for Oblivion and Skyrim too, both epic. :)

The soundtracks of the Uncharted seres are very worth listening. The same goes for The Last of Us.
The Silent Hill series also gave us great music in the games.

Star Wars wise I love the KOTOR soundtrack, both Force unleashed soundtracks, and the Republic Commando sound track. Vode An(the theme song for Republic commando) is a very interesting piece of music for a star wars game as being a chant with the instrumentation being more a backround element as opposed to duel of the fates which is heavy on both.) KOTOR's main theme is still pops into my head every now and then when I do something that reminds me of the game. General Kotas theme is just amazing in the Force unleashed games. The way it builds and builds with energy and then a very strong almost military version of the force theme leitmotif fits the character and the game perfectly.

'Shadows Of The Empire' won me over by the soundtrack from the go, using the real music from the films just made the experience so much more memorable, exciting and real. You can't beat that authentic John Williams music backing you in a true Star Wars video game.
