Some Hondo fun from the last ep..

 

I was just thinking: when Hondo took mercy on his compatriots in the first episode (Revival) and let them back into his group, a lot of us (including myself) questioned whether he just doesn't like to kill his own men unless he ultimately has to, and that it was a tactical move to earn their trust. Now that we know he's going to get his butt kicked by Grievous, I'm wondering if there were other reasons as well. For instance, maybe he was severely short on men at that point and couldn't afford to lose anymore. Also, maybe he wasn't trying to earn their trust so much as save face after what Grievous will do to him. If Grievous seriously humiliates him, what once might have been the minor issue of men jumping ship might now be a major problem for Hondo.

 

I agree with you Barriss_Coffee. That sounds quite plausible actually.
A quick note on Ahsoka, the "Mary Sue" label is definitely wearing quite off IMO

 

It would be subtle, but I can easily see this being Hondo's character arc. His apparent mellowness in Revival, both towards Obi-Wan and his treacherous crew, is a result of circumstance rather than simple good intentions. That keeps Hondo nicely amoral rather than suddenly righteous.

 

A Tribute I made for the good captain. The previous episode really inspired me for this.

"Good Morning America" needs to be replaced with "Wake up with Hondo" (Literally, you might wake up in a cell)

We should make "Hondo" the official GFFA equivalent of "awesome". By the next season I want to see people say "That's sooo Hondo, man!" or "There's this totally Hondo Italian restaurant that just opened around the corner, you gotta try it."

 

That last episode of TCW was such a Hondo episode, man.
