I can't wait for my aunt to go back to New Zealand. She screwed up my dinner tonight by wrapping my roast pork in bacon, making it taste weird.

    That's some American thing.

Pork in bacon is strange, yet popular.

I'm English. My aunt came back from New Zealand to attend her sister's funeral, and as always she takes control of everything. She never visited her sister, unlike mum who took care of her, yet she took direct control of funeral arrangements with no one's permission. That's what she does, controls everything. Right down to dinner preparation. Hence why I can't wait to get rid of her.

Last time mum did that the ***** reported her to child services. For no reason other than to create a logistical pain in the arse for us.

Then you can try to get legal restraints against her, *shrugs* had the same problem with my aunt during my grandfathers passing took control of everything and made him do all this health home healing things instead of just letting him enjoy his final days. My mum finally said stop when he passed and to have her stop messing around his estate and haven't heard from her since though she'll probably sue coming up since the estate is almost worthless now with what are grandad had to take out in loans to support her

Oh it doesn't work like that in my extended family. See with my aunts and uncles it works like a food chain. And it just so happens that my mum is on the bottom of that food chain. I don't often quote him, but that metaphor is from my father. And he doesn't defend my mother lightly. Because of this no one would ever take such sanctions against my aunts or uncles, and mum doesn't even bother fighting any more because she knows they would all turn on her in a second.

Sounds like my dads side of the family. Except that my brother and I and my mum had no rank at all and were seen as lower then dirt

Yeah saw me and my brother as the reasons for all the bad things that happened to my dad and why he still has to work and couldn't retire, lol any time they took intrest in us was when we were old enough to produce Great grand kids.

Well the irony is that we're the only relatives that don't live far away from my grandparents, so they'll treat us well when no one else is around. But any other relative comes to visit and the prejudice is blinding.
