I wish Gilliam would try his hand at directing something he didn't write again.

The Fisher King is one of the best films of its year.

Funny, but not that funny. More of a 'laughing on the inside' - funny. Also, McGregor struggles with his American accent, but I didn't really care about that. But to those who OCD about that kind of thing: no, it's not convincing at all.

I found that one to be funnier than I had expected- the scene with Clooney demonstrating that non-lethal weapon, followed by the cooking scene had me rolling. Also, I think Ewan says the word "Jedi" more times in this film than he did in the PT, heh.

In fairness, I was sleepy while watching it. That may have factored into my level of amusement by it. But I did like it.

    Tyrannosaur.

Good movie. It has its faults, but the positives outweigh the negatives. And the acting is superb, particularly Olivia Colman.

Yamada The Samurai of Ayothaya. 7 out of 10. It is based partially on a real samurai named Yamada whlo served a a Thai ruler. Thai martial arts is sick.

Very close to my favourite film of 2011. Might have even been that if TTSS didn't exist.

Is it bad the most memorable part of it for me was that they have a Jawa in the Sand People spot on the shelf at the end?

you know, i didn't even notice that but my friend did, and he doesn't even like star wars! i thought that whole piece with the action figures was a little bit much, but i guess it's fitting because of the whole star wars-esque sci-fi movie cover story etc.

Anna Karenina. Just got out of a sneak peek screening. Very beautifully done film, and great acting all around. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this wins some oscars, though it'll probably be Art Direction, Costumes, and maybe Cinematography.
