    Nomad Droids was funny.

The pit droids being kicked out of their cave by R2-D2 and beaten up by the aliens... the droid fighting arena... the green gelatinous gore plastered all over R2-D2's front after he crushes the Lilliputian king... [face_laugh]

Savage Opress is a real character and deserves to be fleshed out. He is not a Maul clone or plot device.

    Also, his name isn't Randy.[face_bleh]

The show could be much better than it is, if they fired their writing staff.

Some episodes of the Clone Wars are on par with the original trilogy and the show is the best thing to come out of the franchise since Revenge Of The Sith.

Ahsoka needs to stop sticking her head into everything and managing to be in every possible situation.

You are the first person I have ever heard say TCW is on par with the OT, and NOT have it be a joke of some kind... ROTS? Yes, I have seen that before. But the OT? Hoth would thaw out first.

I'll go on record as agreeing with that. There are a few epidodes that I think it's safe to say we've been waiting to see since hearing old Ben say "I fought with your father during the Clone Wars".

To contribute to this discussion in a more meaningful way, I liked Jaybo from Mystery of a Thousand Moons.

    I've got the mother:

Clones are nothing more than lemmings.

    Also:

Not really a fan of Monkey Lizards.
The Aayla Secura episodes were poor.
    Trepass was poor.
    Senate Spy was entertaining.
    Rush Clovis is amusing.
Landing At Point Rain ain't all that.
The Kenobi/Mandalore trilogy was terribly boring.
    I like Trench's clicking.
Ima-Gun Di did not die a hero.
    The Water arc was fun.
The Umbaran arc was terribly disappointing.
    The Box was fun.
    Massacre was fun.

 You do indeed have "the mother" CT, so consider my cap doffed again. I agree with about three of your opinions. I wasn't aware Admiral Trench's clicking was unpopular to begin with.

    Clonies are. :p

Trench's clicking was awesome. He was a great character in every second he had on screen.

And Massacre was fun and genius. I love it and many people do. I do not know where this "unpopular" thing came up with you..

The Box was fun. It was the best of the lackluster Hardeen arc.

While unpopular and people do not like to hear this opinion but Umbara is just a pile of poop that did not end as fast as should have and was repetitive.

I wasn't around when "Massacre" and "The Box" aired, I took a break from the show.

When I got back, I saw mostly distaste for the episodes and "Massacre" even made Garth's worst episodes list (I think).

Apparently a lot of people here didn't like Onderon. Color me very surprised - oh, there were points I think could have been improved on, but overall I loved it.

TCW should stick with the war and not trail off into the adventures of the magical brothers and their nightsister magic.

Me too. I guess it could have had an episode lopped off and not suffered but I really like episodes that remind me of Band of Brothers, Platoon and Apocalypse Now and this was very like the latter. This arc and Landing at Point Rain are the only episodes of TCW that really drive home the chaos and horror of war.

It's not just about explosions and action, I feel that those kinds of episodes are essential to character developement. Why does Ahsoka seem so mature compared to how she was in season one? Why has Obi-Wan gone from being a slightly cocky knight in AotC to wise but sad in RotS in such a short time? To me the answers lie in scenes like the loss of Waxer, or when Kenobi determined to die saber in hand when things looked bleak in Point Rain, Ahsoka at Steela's funeral.

I'm reminded of Robert Leckie and Eugene Sledge and how changed they were at the end of The Pacific. I cried at that. Does anyone else see a bit of John Basilone in Rex?

Edit: I thought you said Umbara not Onderon [face_blush] Well I'm not changing it now.

I think Rex is a character who resembles a seeming legend or war hero. His fighting style is kinda like fighting only with a .45. Rex has held off the enemy again tremendous odds before and he would certainly be the guy to fight though hostile ground to bring ammunition back to his men. Rex is just an awesome character IMO.
