Sorry, knowing the droid arc is next kind of got to me.

 

He probably has an Arc at the start of S6

 

S6 sounds pretty good right now.

They'd probably have a story of Maul with the loss of Savage, Bo-Katan serving the Republic, Lux serving as a Senator, Fives action, and maybe the Fett-Bane alliance

 

Yeah, it makes sense it would have been pushed back with the inclusion of the four Young Jedi eps.

 

Maybe he'll surprise us and be in the Battle of Scipio or Cato Neimoidia.

 

TCW should stay the hell away from Darman.

We do see Rex and some 501st Legion troopers in a firefight in one of the trailers. Fives is a unit unto himself by now, but he might show up alongside his former legion like he did on Umbara.

 

Former legion? isn't he still apart of the 501st

 

I was actually wondering if that was a rescue party for the younglings.

 

Darth Vader - Yeah, Fives is no longer part of the 501st Legion. In some of the novels, ARC Troopers operate under the auspices of the Special Operations Brigade, but they're often seen fighting alongside regular troopers in the comics.

There's actually some dialogue that pretty much spells out Fives' operational independence:

So Rex welcomes Fives back to fight alongside his former legion. He's still subject to the regular command hierarchy, though.

This does give Fives a lot of opportunities for a variety of stories. As someone who can operate independently of regular forces, he can be seen in a special forces role. If he's actually going to be a main character, he can pretty much dominate an Andy McNab-style special ops epic.

I recall seeing some pink skies in that preview clip. Florrum as we see it in A Necessary Bond is going to have orange skies.

Besides, the involvement clones in terrestrial firefights seems like pure teaser-bait, like the space and ship-based combat scene that was the preview clip for the previous episode. I doubt the 501st would show up in this episode if their presence hasn't been teased in advance.

 

Yeah, I just rewatched it, but it looks like a 501st mission since the clone next to Rex has blue stripes, so maybe, but don't keep your hopes up.

 

Still, we could see the 501st involved in the Clovis arc.

I still find it slightly amusing that Clovis and Rako Hardeen have unofficially had entire episode quadrilogies named after them.

Just because of the colour of the stripes?



I dare you to tell this guy he's one and the same as the hapless Coruscant shocktroopers who get overwhelmed by puny prison riots.

 

Maybe during the Battle of Scipio.

 

There are quite a few action scenes in the trailers that might be set in Clovis arc, such as the one involving Ahsoka and an Eta-2 interceptor.

As for there being a definite battle on Scipio beyond the skirmish we see between Anakin and Embo, what's the source? I'd love it if there was another major battle in the Clovis arc to add to the Anakin/Padme drama and IGBC plotting.

 

What I was thinking is the synopsis for An Old Friend is Padm'e needs help from an old friend for banking, so I assume Skywalker leads an attack on Scipio but he and Padm'e go to rescue Clovis, ask R2 to pick them up with a gunship, and head to the safe or whatever.

Oh, the suspense!

 

I call it the Rako Hardeen arc because I think that sounds cooler that the Deception Arc. =b

I should like to see the 501st in this arcs ending. I always like seeing them.

I think the real beauty of having Fives as a main character is he can be a bridge for some of those Jedi characters people clammor for and still keep us grounded in a on going TCW subplot.

 

And calling it the Deception Arc might confuse people with Inception. That's what my friends thought it was.
