Nice one Seerow, KotOR FOR THE WIN!! Having just said that, I'm with TG, I can't get past even one, let alone a bunch of stimmed-up Mando's or gg deflecting laser shots..··..··.. diminishes what a Jedi is, in my book.

I don't see why this is so hard to get past. I guess its all in the mind. There are plenty more reasons why the Mando guards would be able to do this. Back to enhancements, what about something like an ultimate eye that can see pretty much everything and seemingly slow down time? Like a simple cybernetic implant to do this. Satine has probably always had alot of assassins after her so these are no ordinary guards.

If its any consolation we both know Maul will kill them all in three seconds flat.

Wouldn't be the last time in TCW since the Umbarans were said to use some gas to make their reflexes faster and the umbarans themselves more ferocious in battle.

^That's a cool episode. I watched Rookies last night after AOTC. Still fun.

I actually forgot about that one. Excellent point.

Rookies will always be fun. Such a solid episode.

And I did not like the Umbarans as a design but the gas thing was an interesting concept.

I like it when Fives' smashed the none Umbara's helmet with his elbow. Again, swear I'm no sadist.

Because we're getting into the realm of true absurdity where there are no "rules" and anything goes.

Why not just set the staff to "auto-deflect" or "auto-badass" and sit back and enjoy your awesomeness? Who needs the Force when scientists have invented magic?

You know what happens with thinking like this?

You get a guy who literally replaced his head with a cannon.

Well, because its all fantasy anyways and wouldn't scientists be trying to find a way to match what a force capable person can do anyways? Personally, I'd rather fanon together all kinds of ways that make a plothole work in a work of fiction instead of complain about it.

"It's all fantasy anyways" is a terribly lazy attitude. With that kind of thinking, you could be as absurd as you want and have guys farting exploding boomerangs, quickly leading to the decline and end of the entire franchise.

How about we see Carrie Fisher surfing out in space in her underwear in Episode VII? It's only fantasy anyways.

I'd rather the writers at TCW got their **** together.

I agree 100%. But even a group of great writers can't please everyone. We all have a different limit, when it comes to suspension of disbelief. I hear what you're saying, though, and I agree: a story has to make sense, or else its nonsense. It really bugs me, when the show decides not to follow the implications of their stories. I can't believe it took them five seasons to start tying these stories together.

TCW has always been in a sorta snap shot style before, very episodic. I have always figured that as we got closer to the end the plot strands would all start resolving and braiding together. That's what I started seeing a tiny bit of season 4 and is definately happening in season 5 so far.

Clovis returning(making Senate Spy more important), Maul joining with Death Watch, Lux returning and referring to his previous appearances, Hondo featuring heavily, callbacks to previous seasons(Dooku Captured, Slave 1s return etc..), this season feels way more like it’s a part of a greater TCW mythology. Wish the show had been like that from the start, it gives the episodes a lot more weight.

CT-867-5309 Agreed. What it boils down to is that "Jedi reflexes" are not all that special, if cyborgs and suped up cultists can do the same stuff.
