Christina Hendricks would be fine as Mara Jade for the Thrawn Trilogy or Hand of Thrawn Duology... but she's something like twenty years to young to play a ST Mara Jade (which we probably won't get anyway). Even Gillian Anderson at 45 is a bit too young for a ST Mara Jade.

 

what about that actress on true blood? she played Rogue in the X-Men film series.

Linda Cardellini would be perfect as a Jaina Solo/daughter of Han and Leia type of Skywalker. They might just have to young her up a bit

It seems if it is in slide show code it won't post, or if it does, it pulls itself after a while, I had an image that was there for a week disappear, I look them up on IMBd then I just Google images, lot of photos to pick from, most work. For example Summer Glau

As I was saying, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is to die for. And she can act too...You can't tell that from this picture but she is has been in a lot of stuff. Go check her out...Han and Leia's daughter...I can see that.

 

So many actress's to pick from, I can imagine agents working for these young women contacting Disney/Lucasfilms.
I think the competition for the lead role as any female Jedi would be quite intense, let the best actress win.
To capture the role that even goes beyond 3 films will be a career maker.

Give her brown hair and she would look a little like Carrie Fisher, she is definitely at the far end of the age scale but she looks younger than she is. They could go daughter and granddaughter if they wanted to even in VII. If they did they would need a younger actress like Victoria Justice to play the granddaughter, actually that's not a bad idea have 2 generations in play to carry on the legacy from the start of VII

Yeah, I guess should watch some Firefly 'cos I totally don't get it from the clips. She's convicing when she fights but I can't read much from her face. Actually, I get a bit irritated she only has three expressions. As far as I can see her main thing is the contrast between the childlike appearance and the aggressive fighting. Then, again, that's of course better than most. Sorry for being negative, but sometimes we girls don't get the same as you guys. But you're right, I should see her in proper context and probably several times too.
