What would have the Rise of the Empire, or the Clone Wars, aside from not being named the Clone Wars, been like with recruited troops?. Would the war have been lost earlier on?. Also would Chancellor Palpatine have succeded in turning them against the Jedi and creating the Empire with no resist from them?. Even though he started recruiting Stormtroopers later on, would it have been different in the Clone Wars in terms of loyalty with following Order 66?.

No. This is not just about the Clone Troopers of the Prequel Trilogy because it is also mentioning their offsprings, the Storm Troopers of the Original Trilogy. Therefore, it is a saga issue.

The OP framed his initial post solely about the clone wars and Order 66. I'm not debating this.

The war might never had happened or lasted as long. From what we had seen there were barely any meatbags in it aside from the clones.

It probably would have been completely different, considering that they would have complete freeness of mind, and would have been able to make their own decision regarding Order 66. The whole point of having the clone army, was, (other than having clones of a great warrior) to have an entire army that would follow their leaders orders to the letter, most of the time, no questions asked. If he were to have made an army of recruits, Palpatine would not have been able to put that pre-existing order in the back of their minds. He would have had to make sure that everyone of his soldiers followed this order, and, that probably would not have gone over so well. If the army was of recruits, they probably would have seen how absurd and twisted that order was, and would have opted against it.

I would have liked to have seen a few scenes with the ranking Officers, just to see their state of mind during Order 66.

There is nothing in the OP about clones having kids. It clearly states what would the Clone Wars have been like with no clones, but instead recruited troops.

You really need to stop and take a step back dude, especially when it comes to trying to debate mods/administrators. You will find yourself banned.

As Milgram's Authority tests showed, even regular citizens are surprisingly willing to hurt other people if the figure of authority orders them so. And here we're dealing with the military where chain of command can't be questioned. The difference is, non-clones might have hesitated a bit and given the Jedi more warning.

Conversely, in the EU, clones have questioned Order 66 and not carried it out (specifically, in Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader).

Didn't Quinlen Vos' squad of clones disobey Order 66?

I don't think so, no. His clone commander tried pretty hard to kill him.

Yeah, you're talking about Ion Team from Dark Lord.

IIRC, they refused the Order because they thought it was illegitimate.

The only thing I can think of is that he means the Stormtroopers were the successors to the Clone Troopers not literally their children. At least that's what i'm hoping he means. Fingers crossed.

So, you feel that if everyone of them were physically threatened, all they would do is hesitate and warn the Jedi? That no one out of that huge army would have the integrity to question an order like that?

Ask the intellectuals/old people in the Cultural Revolution how well they fared when the government told young people that violence against them was OK. Being told to commit violence makes it easier to do.

Also-the relatively amateurish approach the Jedi brought to being officers probably would have led to a pretty high resentment level. Clones might not object to dying needlessly. Citizen soldiers would, especially ones from planetary militias that had actual officers instead of sword-wielding monks leading them.

The Jedi were not meant to be professional soldiers, they admit as much. Besides, there hasn't been a major war for a thousand years. Someone had to do it, at least before more Republic officers could be trained.

To be fair to the Jedi, they aren't afraid to die and they actually lead their men themselves, resembling the way the nobility and political leaders used to lead in the old days (think Rome or Medieval Knights or Samurai or even Napoleonic times). Having precognition can also come in handy during the battle.

Not warn as in "tell them", but maybe hesitate longer and alert the Jedi that something was off (the stronger ones, like Yoda and Ki Adi Mundi felt it too).

    Well, lessee...

-No organized "this is how you lead soldiers in a war" school, like every military on Earth has possessed for at least the last several hundred years

-"Generals" wasting their time trying to personally capture/kill enemy leaders, instead of coordinating combat power to end the fight as quickly as possible. This isn't just the like of Obi-Wan on Utapau, although he's the most, erm, grievous example.
Geonosis was a classic example-the handful of Jedi (who we see have no impact on the outcome of the battle at all, besides Yoda, who's apparently smart enough to hang back and coordinate the overwhelming firepower available to the clones) don't bother with the whole "command" part of being officers, apparently thinking that fifteen guys blocking random laser bolts from literally a million droids is the best use of their supernatural powers

They just don't really seem to know what they're doing when it comes to leading a war. I imagine that Obi-Wan pretty much letting Cody run the battle on Utapau is the norm. Without clones who'd literally spent the last decade training for war, that's not a very feasible option. Particularly not with a giant draftee army, which is basically the only viable option for the situation the Republic is facing in AOTC-they literally need an army right now.

What do you mean that something was off? They were being told that the people they have fought with for years, and who have served the Republic for years, are now traitors, and must be executed. People who they have formed friendships with and known for a while. I would think that's a little more than something being off.
