So apparently Trek might be coming back to the small screen

I'd watch a Star Trek series starring Worf. I think they need a better title though, maybe Star Trek: Warrior.

Would they get a different actor? Michael Dorn has aged pretty well, but would he want to be in it again? I know this is all speculation of course.

Read the article in the link. Its Michael Dorn's idea.

He'd also be in Klingon make - up. That would also go a long way towards hiding any aging in the last decade or so since the last TNG film.

Speaking of aging, I heard that some of Michael Dorn's hair turned prematurely grey from years of wearing the Worf make-up.

Hadn't heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me. The actress who played Zhan on Farscape had to quit because she was severely allergic to the full - body makeup they used on her.

I think it's a pretty common thing, some actors being allergic to the alien makeup. I heard that's why the role of Quark and Rom's mother on DS9 changed actresses.

Or some of his hair turned gray because, you know, he got older. But let's go with the less plausible explanation.

It's not implausible, Darth Guy, everybody has different reactions to chemicals being put on and/or in their body.

Besides, Dorn loved playing Worf. If not, he wouldn't have kept on playing the character in DS9.

I'd be all for any series set in the Prime timeline, though there's also potential in exploring the TNG era in the Reboot timeline (but, then there'd be no point in following an aged Worf- you might as well just do a TNG reboot series).

It seems more like a pet project of of Dorn's, but I'm sure that if he does get a greenlight he'd be able to get back some other Trek cast members (Tim Russ would be the most obvious likelihood, given his involvement in a few high-level fan films).

I've finally done it! Over the past 15 weeks, I have been rewatching all of TNG, and I finally finished All Good Things tonight. What a fun journey that was. Now to take a short break, enjoy the TNG films, then move on to DS9. My favorite episodes:

    Sins of the Father
    Q Who
    The Measure of a Man
    The Best of Both Worlds
    Family
    Relics
    The Pegasus
    Chain of Command
    Yesterday's Enterprise
    The Drumhead
    The Inner Light
    The First Duty
    All Good Things

I guess that's similar to a lot of critics' favorites, but those were still some terrific episodes.

I would really like to see a DTI miniseries in the JJverse.

The person getting proposed to? I presumed it was some sort of convention where you could get your photo with the cast.

Edit: Burned by the 'automatically go to last unread' again!

177 episodes in 135 days is still pretty damn good, though. And that's with me rewatching a few classic episodes like Chain of Command and TBOBW in order to get my wife interested in the series as well.

I grew up on TNG and VOY. I re-watched the first season of TNG back in '05 and man was that brutal. I am planning on doing a re-watch of the rest of the series in the next month or so, so I can then go on to watch DS9. Should I skip the second season altogether? I've heard that the second season is pretty bad as well due to the Writer's Strike that was happening at the time.

It's finale is terrible due to the writers strike, but there's a few good episodes in the rest of the season (more than Season 1).

Elementary Dear Data, Q Who, The Emissary & A Matter of Honor are really good. Other people claim Measure of a Man is also great (though I disagree).

I also enjoyed Pen Pals and Peak Performance, and mostly enjoyed Samaritan Snare (though not entirely).

Some others, like Schzoid Man and Contagion have elements of potential even if they don't deliver ultimately.
