Full Series The Captain Rex thread

Rex isn't more badass. He has grown into a deeper and more well rounded character. Thats like 85% of what I like about him. The rest is the cool look of the armor and his badassness.

 

Kinda true. But in arcs like Grievous intrigue/The Deserter being badass was very well balanced with being deep and emotional.
Like the epic stand in the end against the Commando droids.

 

The fight with the Commando Droids at the end of "The Deserter" looked badass. But what made it epic was this man, a clone standing up for the family he loved and willing to lay down his life in the face of curtain death. Really happy but epic. There is no other character who gives me feels like Cut fighting for his family. This was important for Rex to see as it altered his perception of what made a good soldier and a good man for that matter. It was a lesson he fully realized in Carnage.

 

I like S1 Rex the best.

 

Rex is one thing that always gets better with this show, IMO.

 

Don't forget about Fives too

I disliked Rex in Onderon. Yeah, I love seeing him, but it was so.. random.

It is. I am not a huge fan of the current Rex but that is one beautiful image.

 

Agreed and it's Phase 2 Armor that he is wearing which makes it more badass

 

The thing with Phase II armor is that it is more customized and memorable than Phase I.

 

Agreed, gotta wonder if the Stormtroopers Armor is Phase 2 or Phase 3

 

Probably 3 but it is not as cool as the Phase 2 clone armor.

Why does Re have a rainbow on his helmet by the mouthpiece

 

I think its like colored welds from where Rex welded his old and new helmets together.
