When talking about episodes 1 - 6 what will Star Wars fans call those group of movies? Will it be the Fox Saga, the anakin saga, the George Lucas saga? You have PT for 1-3 & OT for 4-6, so what is the term for just 1-6?

OS- Original Saga. I'm pretty sure, though, that PT, OT and ST will continue to be preferred for a long time to come.

Why does there need to be a term for 1-6?

There doesn't need to be, but human nature being what it is, there must be a name for everything. It may be decades away, but there will be a term for 1-6.

Maybe? If the new trilogy(s) are stylistically similar and part of the same narrative, the movies 1-6 wouldn't need to stand apart with their own label.

Even though the Blu Ray set & Lego game call it the Complete Saga, I don't think those 6 episodes should be called that.

That's the piece of Star Wars that a few are fans of. Its the piece I like to post about. So was curious what fans would refer those 6 movies as.

Episodes 7-9 are continuing the saga. It will either be regarded as Episodes 1-9 Skywalker Saga or, more likely by the majority, as the OT, PT, and ST.

The Fox movies, the Lucas movies, the Original Saga, 1-6, I-VI, the PT & OT, the first six...
I think we're going to see lots of different variations from different fans. I myself will probably just say "the first six" when referring to the first six - or "the first two trilogies" (I've actually stopped calling the trilogies "PT" and "OT" - I prefer to think of them as the first and the second trilogy).

    "There is no prequel"

The Disney Trilogy will hopefully be as good as The Dark Knight trilogy for the next generation of fan. I see the Original Saga & Lucas Saga being mentioned & I like those terms. Still waiting to get the Complete Saga on Blu Ray once the price drops, I wonder if the Disney Trilogy will sell as well. Hopefully they can sell the Disney Trilogy on itunes.

Return of the Jedi is a great conclusion film, one of the best all time & does a great job tying up the 5 films before it.

Maybe the Disney Trilogy. Can out sell the Original Saga. It would be pretty cool if the DT made more money than the OS. Pretty impressive. I think the next generation of star wars fans has the gusto to do it. No doubt.

The "long time ago" movies. The ST opening words could be " A fair amount of time ago, in a galaxy far, far away" ;)

Cuz The Mouse didn't make no profit off those flicks for a few decades, all that sweet, sweet money. At least that's what my Disney overlords told me to type.
