Today! Downloaded and converted to MPG for putting on the Tivo. Here's hoping for less lens flare. This is BSG, not new Star Trek!

 

well they were filmed around that time...sooo i mean in a way it makes sense.

 

Eps 3 and 4 rocked. Please green light a new series.

Yep. And 7 and 8 were this past Friday. They're on the Tivo...or will be shortly.

 

How long are the episodes?

 

About 10 minutes for the two episodes that they combine into one YouTube video.

 

I just caught up on them all in one go. Pretty good. I found Adama annoying when the storyline focused on him being cocky, but it got a lot better once the action started.

I've been watching in full screen mode on my laptop. Does anyone else have a problem with insufficient resolution? It looks too pixelated to me.

It was good, and I liked the twist with Tricia Helfer voicing the proto-cylon. But I am not sure I understood the existence of the proto-cylon... based on the end of the series, I had been under the impression that the final five created the skin-job cylons. Why would there have been an intermediate stage like this? Were the cylons in the progress of getting there themselves, and then the final five came along and brought their attempts the rest of the way?

I'd also been expecting there to be something a bit more of them finding out about Hybrid research. I might be remembering wrong, but wasn't there something along those lines in the series, or maybe a webseries at the time? Was this meant to be what the body parts in the freezer was about? That wasn't really clear to me.

Overall I thought it was good, but I think the time limits imposed by the format necessitated too much development and explanation to be cut out.
