So Rebuild 3.0/Q has premiered in Japan, and the spoilers have started appearing on fansites.

It was clear that they were diverging from the plot of the original series, but I don't think anyone expected...

Shinji is considered little more than a war criminal.
A 14 year timeskip.
At least five new EVAs.
SEELE taking command of NERV, and a new badass Misato leading a resistance group against Gendo.

i hope there will be a giant penis evangelion that squirts semen out of the top of its head. the crazier the better.

how long will we have to wait to see it here? six months?

 

Probably. We're going to have fansubs much earlier. I think some group had finished or was close to finishing translating the transcripts.

To the right of the four new characters, members of Misato's organization, are Maya and the rest of the classic "bridge bunnies" (Aoba looks to be sporting a soul patch, ugh). Then everyone else is a known character: Misato is the one looking like a character from a 1970s mecha series, Ritsuko sporting a drastical haircut, Rei in black. Oh, the girl to the left of Kaworu is Touji's sister, all grown up.

do you think he was influenced a bit by bsg? there's like a chief tyrol guy and a dualla lady in there. and a LEEEEE ADAMAAAAAA-looking guy too. perhaps asuka will be a bit more starbuggish as well. this is all very interesting!

 

I have yet to see any of the Rebuild movies yet (there's going to be 4 in total correct?) but I'm actually digging what I've seen and read about it so far.

 

he could end up making six for all i know. or nine. or twenty-three! this is ANNOSE we're talking about.

 

I kind of like that every movie diverges more and more from the original series. I think 4.0 is going to be a stop motion movie starring Play-Doh EVAs and shot in Russian.

 

I'd pony up for an overpriced special edition if they did that. Not even joking.

yeah, that fits it with the whole evangelion symbolic scheme, so it doesn't seem that outrageous to me. having a shuttlebutt is, though.
