The laws, the governors, the education system, and the transportation stuff are statewide. :p And San Diego has historically been almost as bad as OC and has only recently been improving.

Let's see if I have more... still majority support for the death penalty, three strikes is still awful despite being rolled back a little bit, refusal to pay a few dollars more on their car registrations to keep state parks open, notable recent incidents of extreme police brutality in nearly every part of the state, suburban sprawl, Santa Ana winds (YES I KNOW THAT'S JUST SOCAL RACHEL DEAL WITH IT), wildfires, ****ing Hetch Hetchy (TAKE THAT YOU NORCAL HIPPIES).

Oh sure, the state has to increase fees to keep the parks open, because already existing monies never get mishandled by politicians... that simply doesn't happen!

Anyways, there are things to dislike here in L.A./Orange County, but damned if there aren't some rather great things to. People are so damn negative about this area. :p

I'm reminded that my state ****ed up the Walker recall, so I'm taking Rogue's advice. WISCONSIN.

Texas. I would say Arizona, but Armenian Jedi lives there.

I'm so glad to see Guy mention Hetch Hetchy.

Personally, I have to pick Florida. I've only got about 10 states to work with, but that is the one that has the most flaws with it, it's seemed.

Guy, I think most of the stuff you've mentioned is more nationwide than statewide though.

Can we just merge the Dakotas, and then we could have Puerto Rico as a state without having to all buy new flags? Everyone wins.

Does anyone really think I'd pick a "worst" state when I could harshly criticize every single one? :p

Here here. I've been to both Dakotas... I see no point to either of them, but if we must have them for Mt. Rushmore, then let them be one state.

Out of the 26 I've visited, Kansas is my least favorite. Flat, desolate, and creepy.

However, Kansas has the best movie theatres in the US while also being the cheapest (thanks AMC!)

I guess that applies to the Missouri side of KC as well, though.

Indiana. It's stuck in 1952 in just about every way. The people are the worst, they don't take kindly to strangers, it's like one of those horror movies with the newlywed couple getting stranded in some The Hills Have Eyes type of town, every time I've been there I run into some cop straight out of Hazzard County. I was once pulled over for driving with a black girl and it took all my *** kissing powers to get out of it, and by "get out of it" I mean be escorted to the edge of town like Rambo. There's literally nothing to do, because apparently Indiana doesn't take kindly to entertainment, either. They're literally stuck in 1952 technologically, every gas station I encountered had those old style pumps with the analog displays.

I hope to never return, I don't want some local judge to hang me for listening to Katy Perry.

Does this explain Jim Davis creating Garfield, more or less? He's from Indiana, and I think he runs his multimedia empire from there as well.

Not a fan of Mississippi. Or Alabama. Or Arkansas. Or blech Texas.

Basically, Louisiana is the Dark Helmet of the Deep South "I KNEW it! I'm surrounded by ***holes!"

Then the civil war breaks out and we're like "KEEP FIRING, ***HOLES!"

Ohh they can't be that bad! The beautiful countyside and friendly people surey balances out the a-hole population. How many people can really be that backward and isolationist.

Before I moved here to Utah I would have said Ohio but Utah takes the cake now. I'm not the right religion for the area and all the good stores are closed on Sundays. Plus there are no bars and the beer here sucks.

fun fact rogue ten was born in Indiana, raised in Oregon and Wisconsin, and has spent the majority of his adulthood thus far in Oregon, Vermont and Arizona

so yeah those are the states you can blame for that...
