OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

You know, drama really makes for the best storylines doesn't it? I'm perfectly happy to take one for the team and win all the Galactic Cups and make the Miners really boring.

I'm a great GM like that for all of you.

 

For me I'm not one for the big storyline type thing. I just take it one post at a time and whatever comes to me at that moment is what ends up in the post

 

We appreciate that from you too Trieste. But we know as soon as the Miners win, the league will disband so you can say your team won the last Cup.

 

I'll still win those Cups for you so you can do better individual posts.

 

No you make my team 5-0 which makes doing my posts easier

Duh. I never thought of checking the temp boards. Thanks. Now I can write up a post. (Oh, and I never saw Gunny's edit to the post above about Phil's position until just now.)

 

Those pesky edits don't always alert you, so no big deal.

Man I hope we get all the posts untruncated one day.

 

THIS is why I like having an NPC team. You can do things to the opposing team that you can't do to other player-controlled teams without permission. And really: who among us is going to complain about what I did to Phil Brooks?

And for those wondering, this is one part me expressing my frustration with the Storm's perpetual mediocrity, and three parts inspired by a fight at a recent Bengals game. Mix and serve.

 

Hooray for someone kicking the crap out of Brooks!

 

By the way, for those of you who don't read The Bluebells & The Edelweiss, the collaborative fanfic that takes its cue from the galaxy as we know it here in ELL that Liam and I write, you'll be interested to note that events from this game have impacted that story. The Mercs-Miners game appears to have changed the mind of the Chancellor as to her best course of action and a former Monarch player has just been entrusted with a critical task to winning a major military operation in the Unknown Regions.

Perhaps not surprisingly, in this story the Triestes do well in things other than Limmie, which is infuriating when trying to translate that to this game.
