You. Have. Never. Watched. This. Show?!

    How is that even possible? You're a 90's kid. Who...who are you?! ]-}

Quickly, it's never to late to redeem yourself. Watch all 90's WB Cartoons now! (Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Freakazoid!, Pinky & The Brain, Batman: The Animated Series, etc.) It's not even a chore, I'm doing you a forcible favour. Amirite, everyone who lived in the 90's? We only want what's best for you, B_C!

The level of adult humor in that show was staggering, and so skillfully subtle it flew miles above the heads of the kids watching it.

    Nurse: "Sire?"
Yakko: (suggestively) "Wait till we're alone..."

I'm so thankful I wasn't drinking anything when I first heard that.

I think they tried to be more realistic than when I was in school . Not that it was misleading, just oversimplified. I don't think Canada ever had as fully developed a mythology as the US has.

The thing I always found funny is how little Americans (unless they were in Washington, Montana, Michigan, etc) seemed to know about Canada.

I couldn't believe I was telling friends in say 95 that we just got electricity and used a dog sled to get around.

    Woot.

Not many Star Trek fans here, I know. But screw it, I'm excited. When did Star Trek films become better at being Star Wars films than Star Wars films?

I haven't been following the news for this film that closely. At one point it was "confirmed" that the villain was Khan, but prior to that it was said that the villain would be 1 of 5 Original Series villains and Khan wasn't on the list, but a character named Gary Mitchell was.

So the two most likely candidates are either Khan (genetically enhanced super-man) or Mitchell (former friend of Kirk's that starts to develop psionic powers that corrupt him as he begins to see himself as being all powerful). I would think Gary Mitchell is more likely, but given how the villain is showing acrobatic moves and pwning some klingons in the trailer, it might be Khan the superhuman. I haven't seen confirmation one way or the other.

Doesn't matter who the villian is. Benedict Cumberbatch makes any role awesome. He's 90% of the reason I'm excited to see this. After he's done with Star Trek, Sherlock, and the Hobbit, he needs to be the 12th Doctor.

I am looking forward to this. Don't want to assume too much from the trailer, but I will be disappointed if once again it's not much more than an action film. To me, the whole point of the Star Trek franchise is nuanced stories that make you think, which the first reboot film really wasn't.

That trailer's okay IMO, but Benedict Cumberbatch makes any role awesome. The first film was enjoyable to me, but it wasn't deep, shall we say. Same thing with The Avengers for me. Cool? Hell yeah. Deep in philosophical thought? No.

I had to look this up even now. Then again, I'm not the most informed on Medieval times.

Epicness, especially up to the 1:32 mark approximately.

I will have to say that with the 25th film, I feel that James Bond should die. The stories are thinning out for me, although Skyfall was great.

I like the idea of the 2006-present Bond dying at some point in the next few films, effectively as a conclusion to his character arc that started in Casino Royale.

Then a newer, fresher Bond returns in the reboot. The James Bond franchise is one that really needs rebooting every so often to keep it fresh.

Reason I said Picard is because the narrator sounded like him... and it was pre-coffee espresso for me.:p

It's so popular over here that it will probably still be shown in theatres up to the point of its home media release.

I dunno, I still have a hard time being convinced to part with $20 to see movies. But seems like an appropriate thing to do with my 4th Saturday off all year.

I don't know, I still feel like we're in the early stages of a big Bond reboot even three films into the Daniel Craig era. The last two (Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace) were bigger departures from prior Bond movies than Skyfall was, but all three comprise something very refreshing for the franchise, I think.

    Your eyes stink? :p

Its about $17.00 for a ticket without tax. After that its $20. You put popcorn and a drink on that you'll spend $40 easy.

Quantum of Solace ended with the gun barrel sequence, as if to say, "Yes, this era of Bond is really beginning now."

Then Skyfall ended with the gun barrel sequence, as if to say, "Yes, this era of Bond is really, really beginning now. For real." :p

There's something compelling about the idea of a complete story arc for this character (the Bond introduced in 2006 and played by Daniel Craig), showing his journey from the beginning in Casino Royale to a grand finale. However, more standalone films in between then and now would be good to see.

Film tickets which I pay for are normally ₤6. Perhaps that's just because the cinema I go to is taking the idea of a lean business to new lengths.

That's what, $10, $11 here? Sounds about right. NYC prices suck, though. $13 for a regular show, then an extra $4-$5 for 3D or IMAX.

^Maybe its just Florida and maybe its just because I live so close to the attractions here on Orlando where everything is jacked up for the tourists.

There are probably cheaper theaters around here than the big cinaplexes with the stadium seating and the big booming sound and big ass screens. But if I'm gonna see an actiony film in theaters thats what I want.

What are some other movies recommendable for this weekend. Is there anything else good? The Lincoln one looks interesting but is definately something I'd rather Netflex since if I do spend the money it needs to be something I can get some bang out of at the theater.
