Full Series Darth Maul Lives!? (spoilers allowed)

Funny, because he was dead set (no pun intended) on having him dead ten years ago against the wishes of the fans.

 

He seems to go out of his way to irritate fans sometimes.

 

Yeah, that`s just what I was about to say. I think it's his kind of revenge against the fans.

 

No, I think it's simply misguided fan service.

"Well, people always complained that Maul died too soon, soooooooooooooo..."

 

If Maul were an isolated case, then I'd agree. But when Lucas talks about changes to the OT, I just get the feeling that he knows people are going to complain but that he does it anyway and has a very non-humble, ungrateful attitude of "if the fans don't like it, they can go jump off a bridge, because they are MY stories."

I don't know if he expected the backlash when he made the Special Editions the first time around, but I'd think he HAS to be aware of the people that would love to have the original OT, yet Lucas continues to tinker. I refuse to believe that Lucas added Vader's "No!" into ROTJ without suspecting that it wasn't going to go over well.

 

Good point, that 'Noooooo' in RotJ ruins the entire scene.

I think Lucas simply needs to learn to stop tinkering with the movies. It's like he keeps changing his mind and keeps making what he thinks are 'improvements'. He needs to let go.

I still don't think it's intentional trolling. In the end it doesn't really matter what his intent is though. It's still frustrating.

I doubt Maul is Lucas's favorite character, else he would not have been cut in half in TPM...or given robo legs. I think Lucas just decided to bring him back to hype up TPM 3D. (and maybe sell Maul toys)

Anyhow, didn't Maul appear in the crystal ball in season 4? I recall Oppress went to find him in the third last episode of season 4...and that was an episode after Maul was revealed to Oppress in the crystal ball...

Or am I misremembering?

 

Maul was revealed to be alive in Season 3 and Savage found him in the second last episode of S4

 

There was a sale at the Maul, everything was half off.

 

Unfortunately, everything was only half the product it once was.

 

The prices have been slashed in half!

 

They should have aimed for the neck of that deal!

 

Hah... the big sales tent at SWW was called "The Maul".

Looks like transformer Maul is sick and is holding his stomach. Mini Maul ought to bail.

 

Can I just say that the paint scheme on Bay's Optimus is hideous.

 

They painted him up like that to show how 'cool' he was (even though he looks like he's trying too hard) and then proceeded to shove him and all the other bots into the background so Bay could focus on Sam and his eye candy girlfriend. That still burns me up to this day.

Edit:As far as this goes, I don't think Maul will be surviving past season 5 or season six. You-know-who is going to be taking care of that eventually.

 

It would be stupid if Maul was killed off in S5, kill him off in S6

 

I still recon it may be looked like he is killed and he turns up again in S6. I don't think they are going to bring him back for one major story and kill him off straight-away. There is more to it that we are not privy to yet.

 

It would be pretty wacko if Maul ends up surviving...and being redeemed to the light side. Removing his tatto's he renames himself Agen Kolar and gains a seat on the Jedi Council.

Hey, they have to explain where Eeth Koth went and how Agen Kolar replaced him, no?
