Rebecca Hall is currently dating Sam Mendes who just did Skyfall, he may have sufficient clout to get her a role in a big movie like Star Wars (she will be in Iron Man 3 apparently so that's a good franchise role). He might at least make her a Bond Girl
It will of course be easier to think about who to cast for what once we know which characters are going to feature.

 

Guess what? I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FIG about what the female lead(s) look like - I care if the actress is right for the part. She could be a balding, overweight, buck toothed female if the role called for that or a cute actress whom the fanboys can drool over, but the role is not written yet and I doubt the role is for a "Bond girl."

Hell yes - if others can go around in every damn thread talking about how the PT sucks, I can go in a "who's hot" thread and complain about the emphasis on female outer beauty.

Just because PT haters carry on doesn't mean they should be allowed without getting called out.

If someone from a known major franchise is going to star in the movies, they should at least have extensive makeup so they don't look like themselves. I find it difficult to accept someone I know as a major character from somewhere else unless I don't recognise them.

A lot of people seem to want Summer Glau, but to me it would then be Star Wars with a Terminator or River from Serenity which would ruin it IMO. Make her an alien species and that wouldn't be so much of an issue.

 

I agree as much fun as it is to see people support Summer Glau and talk about how awesome she is, realistically she is strictly nerd fantasy, not nerd fantasy Star Wars material.

 

Scarlett Johansson is a beautiful woman, but given she now has a big role in the Marvel-verse I can't take her seriously if she were in a SW movie.

Then again, I don't consider her a good enough actress so Iwouldn't want to see her in SW either way

 

I don't understand that at all - it's the very same as saying Harrison Ford can't be Indiana Jones and Han Solo.

An actor or actress started on TV, so shouldn't do movies?

Can you not enjoy a movie because one of the stars has been in another film?
