    Some of Maul's accomplishments:

    • Wiping out the Orsis Academy
    • Wiping out Black Sun
    • Surviving bisection
    • Killer of at least eight Jedi (Qui-Gon Jinn, Anoon Bondara, Arsha Dassant, Siolo'urmanka, Finn Ertay, Grohto, Bruu Jun-Fan & Ko Solok)
    • Skilled user of Juyo, Jar'Kai, Teras Kasi and Niman
    • Responsible for the collapse of Lommite Limited and InterGalactic Ore
    • Taking over Mandalore
You cannot compare Ahsoka to Maul. People suggesting that she could kill him is laughable.

I agree that Ahsoka should definitely not kill Darth Maul, but in terms of thinking it's absurd, don't forget that Luke Skywalker starts out in Ep. IV as a teenager with zero experience in war or the Force.

I keep considering making a the-sky-is-falling thread based on my supposition that this could be the first season of TCW to not be better than the last, but I guess having this thread takes care of that.

Regarding the S1 nostalgia, each season has some great episodes and some crap episodes, S1 is no exception. I'll take Revival over The Gungan General any day of the week.

Luke kind of gets owned by Vader on Bespin and Splinter of the Minds Eye had Ben helping him

Not to mention he was on par with Anakin potential wise

I'll grant you that, but the only message shouldn't be step aside old folks, ONLY the younger folks can do great and powerful things. Perhaps not so much lately (or so blatantly) but in the early seasons this was the impression the show gave: these old Jedi needed young new blood because they were stagnant and incapable of handling things without the youngster's input.

I was young once and I'm much older now - there's value in new ideas AND old ideas, fresh blood AND experienced blood. It should be a mutual "learning" experience to a certain extent, but not the new at the expense of the old(er).

Yeah, guys I think the Prophecy of the Chosen One was misread: Ahsoka is clearly the one to bring Balance to the Force.

That, and Ahsoka's great and powerful "accomplishments" as of late have been absolutely ridiculous. For example, why was she in charge of those younglings, when in AOTC, it was clearly Yoda who taught the younglings? Even if Yoda were busy, how many full-fledged Jedi Masters or even Knights are available? I have a very hard time believing there were none.

It's not a question of whether teenagers can do great things. It's as Valairy said; in Ahsoka's case, the show is having a teenager do great things at the expense of the adults. And Ahsoka isn't profiled as a gifted teenager so much as absurd. If it's now acceptable for Padawans to lead groups of younglings, where are the other Padawans who are doing this? Where are the other Padawans who can speak Shyriwook, at least a few words of it? Seems the younglings should be able to communicate on a basic level if language lessons are given early in the Temple (the explanation for Ahsoka being able to do it).

^ You know, if there were even hints that the current crop of padawans far and away outshone even "the more experienced Jedi" (ha, anyone get the reference?) it'd be more believable, if not exactly acceptable.

I'm expecting Ahsoka to be granted a seat on the Council shortly, since she's so wise and powerful. Maybe she can get Obi-Wan's seat if he is demoted for failing to kill Maul years before and getting his knighthood based on a lie.

/[face_talk_hand] Okay, okay, I joke, I joke. Don't kill me.

The sooner Maul is killed the better the Star Wars universe will be. I'd rather see her leave the Jedi Order than to be a necessary plot device for Anakin.

While TCW takes place during the fall of the Jedi and rise of the Sith, its still a bit lame that an insane Sith lakey and his brother endowed with a magical force connection can tear through every Jedi come across. I get the point of the Jedi not being superhero's, but come on already!

I'll take my initial comments a step further. I think Master Luminara can get the job done. Her duel with Assaj made me wonder how much she was on par with Dooku. The Count's lightsaber technique is much more finesse than power-which is parallel to Master Luminara's characteristics and we see him handle Randy like an after thought.

The reason why I am not a big fan of TCW is because of the constant change of quality of the episodes.
Some episodes such as the 'Return of Boba Fett' arc were pretty good.

As soon as they started combining characters, the quality dropped.
The Galaxy clearly isn't big enough, according to Filoni. Why does Boba have to meet Ventress? Why does Maul have to recruit the Death Watch and Black Sun? Why do Ahsoka and her boyfriend have to visit a Death Watch camp?
What has Maul to do with war?

    ... :(
