According to TCW movie novelisation Rex participated at the Battle of Jabiim (the coolest battle of the war) alongside Anakin.
This is news to me.

No way... no frikkin way... so they are keeping this as official canon and not destroying it.

But it is interesting to do something like this.

Even if I think Rex would not survive the hell on Jabiim.

 

Ah, Jabiim - so wish we could see it or an adaptation of it - love the storyline of Obi-Wan trying to "redeem" Ventress despite what she's done to him. And Anakin's certainty about Obi-Wan's survival despite the disbelief of the Council.

 

Hell, even ALPHA hardly survived Jabiim.

One of my favorites, that comic is.

 

It's a great graphic novel, but so, so intense and sad.

I am so sad too that the Ventress/Obi thing of the comics is kinda forgotten.

 

Ventress seems to be another of Obi-wan's lady friends to me. That guy needs to get his own Old Spice commercial. And now back to Rex...

And kitty cat ears. OK, OK, jaig eyes.

 

My niece called them cat ears. xD

 

Badass, yet oddly adorable...that guy's got it all.

 

I struggle to think of Rex or any of the clones as adorable. They certainly aren't the kind of guys I'd want to just go up to and try to give a hug. =b

 

TCW's Phase I clone armour wasn't adorable so much as cartoonish and non-threatening, with the oversized helmets' frontal aspect seeming like a gormless face. To be perfectly honest, I didn't like TCW's clone armour until the introduction of Phase II. AOTC's, the microseries' and Star Wars: Republic's Phase I armour, however, was dignified and imposing, something which TCW only started matching with the Phase II armour.

The clones truly grew the beard in S4, Rex first and foremost.

 

When I was making icons back in the day, I noticed those on Phase II Rex and started laughing my ass off at that until I realized what it was.

 

No struggle for me at all. Matter-of-fact, I think they all need hugs...

I wonder if Rex ever gets this in universe. I can just see it now.

Fives: Ready to do my part General
Rex: Its good to have you on board again.
Fives: Just like old time, huh? - Snickers -
Rex: What's so funny?
Fives: Your helmet looks like it has rainbows on it.
Rex: ...
-Anakin snickers-
-Rex gives Anakin a dirty look.-
Rex: Its blue and freaking yellow! We were out of clear welds!
-Everyone laughs at Rex.-
Rex: All of you! Drop and give me 50. -crosses arms.-
Anakin: No... you drop and give me 50 little girl.
Rex: But sir...
-Anakin gives that evil eye and the Imperial March plays.-
Rex: Yes Sir.

I think its only maybe Cut I'd consider giving a hug to. The other clone I might want to hug is dead. Wait? Am I really have this discussion about which clones I'd want to hug? <<;
