I have a feeling that unless it's opera, Christian rock, or gospel music that is picked for the remainder of the round, my lucky streak will come to an end.

 

I've heard the Weird Al parody and the cover of it in The Muppets, but I've never heard Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana

 

Well, if you guys want points from me, you'll have to go with classical and movie soundtrack music. That's all I listen to. And I never listen to radio. There is a universe of music I have not even begun to register.

 

i think my only chance to get a lot of points on my turn is to pick something from the score of a popular movie that i haven't seen, which sort of feels like cheating since it's like giving a movie round answer in the song round.

 

I haven't heard "Happiness is a Warm Gun." I'm pretty sure I haven't heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit," either.

 

I really really hate "Smells like Teen Spirit" (but then again I hated a lot of the grunge bands back then. All it sounded like was screaming to me). However, I forced myself to listen to the full song at least once so that people in school wouldn't go at me with the "You'd like it if you'd heard it" crapola.

Still hate the song.

 

As far as I know, I've never heard it. I'm listening to it on YouTube know, and and it doesn't sound familiar.

 

lol... we are seriously misunderstanding each other here. If Carmen was singing along to the song by the actual artist... meaning the song was playing, and you listened to it, yes, it counts. If Carmen was simply singing the song, and the actual song was not playing, it wouldn't count.

Am I making sense?

 

I dunno, what if the person is singing along to the song but you're in an alternate dimension where the artists were all chimpanzees and it's consequently an avant-garde noise track but it's nonetheless the original version they just happen to be chimps in this dimension?

What if I had listened to the song but was then forced at gunpoint by Nicolas Cage and/or Gary Busey that if I ever admitted that I had listened to the song to anyone, even on the internets, they would destroy everything I ever loved?

 

Well, Busey could be an issue, but it's been well-established that Nic Cage can be fended off with BEES so that one wouldn't be much of an excuse.

i have heard smells like teen spirit 3,789,213 times. the first time i heard it was i think when i came back to the u.s. over christmas break 91/92 and i saw it on mtv and i got really really horny for it and dove headlong into the grunge soon thereafter.
