Do make a Jedi/Sith battle in Braveheart fashion:

Maybe toned down a little...for the children and all. God save the children.

If the emblem on his shirt had a red S, with a yellow background, I'd be more inclined to watch his video, but if he can't get that iconoclastic part of geek culture right, god knows how badly he'll mess up that galaxy far far away.

    DO. NOT. CHANGE. THE. OPENING.

I could care less for anything else, such as the fox fanfare, but the opening is what matters the most for it to feel like the 7th addition to the SW saga.

I really do hope that they DON'T put in any sort of crude/sexual humor, even if it is just a little childish joke. Star Wars, IMO, doesn't need that. Other than sleeping Aayla Secura, I can't recall if there's even been something along the lines of crude, sexual, etc jokes and lines.

No getting hit where it hurts most, or an explicit love scene, or anything of the sort.

All I want is some good action, the Falcon, and a deep, meaningful plot that actually does something to the story of Star Wars. Not some cheap gag or ridiculous moments...yeah, I'm looking at you, Anakin. (Now this is PODRACING!...give me a break). And don't forget the Wilhelm scream.

Boom bang action, enough CGI to make it look nice but not too much so that it looks fake and/or too clean, of course some lightsaber action and Force, and have it easy to connect with the OT.

I kinda want it to be where the Empire is still at large, like the Imperial Remnants. So there's still TIE's and the Rebels still have their X-Wings. That would be cool.

ROTS at least had ARC-170s and V-wings that looked reminiscent of X-Wings and TIEs...

But please, leave out the cheesy humor and gags, inappropriate, sexual jokes, and no James Bond love scenes. Keep it PG.

Star Wars never had any cursing (other than Han saying "Then I'll see you in hell!" in TESB). There hasn't been any crude humor. It's supposed to be an epic space opera, and putting that stuff in there takes you away from the moment.

I went to see the Hobbit part 1 yesterday. I enjoyed it, but I thought they put too much humor and stuff in it. It didn't seem as fantasy and awesome as the past three films were. I hope Disney doesn't do the same with Star Wars.

Humor is not bad. People are too afraid of change.

CGI is not bad. Less CGI would make things look more fake.

More CGI means taking more time to make each scene look as real as possible.

Because there are so many things you cannot do in real life.

Without CGI, we would have to invent real light sabers.

and stunt devils would lose their body parts in practice

Stunt devils? I believe the word you're looking for is "doubles." Doubles, not devils.

Rewatch episode 2. Way too much CGI, and the movie looks awful. Too many scenes look half-done or unbelievable...notably the Kenobi landing and foundry scenes on Geonosis. They probably tried to pack in too much CGI across the film, and thus could not focus on completing enough scenes fully.

    So...
DO craft a good story that is accentuated by tasteful, sensible use of FX.
DO NOT just try to pack in a whole bunch of new worlds and characters for the sake of satisfying inner fanboys,or the marketers, or the designers, or anyone but the general moviegoing audience.

If Disney knows what it is doing - and I believe it does, barring ESPN :) - then they see SW as the type of film franchise that will merit "special releases for the LAST TIME in (dying home video format)" rather than direct-to-video trope such as the aforementioned Airbud 5.

CGI is not bad, but when possible use something real, this will cost more and take more time but they can afford it. Light Sabers looked fine and that was before CGI, and mostly the scenes with ships looked very fake in the PT, I just watched ROTJ on blu ray and it reminded me how good using the models actually looked.
