Speculation The Solo Saga? Anyone?

Although I suspect sarcasm, that is probably correct as the whole PT induced great boredom with most. Coinciding with Star Wars leaving popular culture and joining Star Trek in geek culture.

I would love to see a saga devoted to his younger years.

Tough one! Don't know really, someone who is cool, without trying to be. Or at least at ease with themselves, someone likeable and easy to relate to. And you can bet your bottom dollar that this will happen. Cynically the character is a cash cow..

 

No offense, but this idea is never going to make it into movies except the Han Solo spin-off movie i talked about above. The prequel trilogy was focused on Anakin and so was the Classic movies (if you think about it, the Star Wars movies were the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin). So why would you focus on someone else besides the Skywalkers? They're the main characters. But the others are also important. So continue focusing on Luke, Liea, Han, Chewie, and the Droids, not just Han.

 

Your referring to the Skywalker story, of which Han Solo was apart. However we are discussing the Star Wars story out with the Skywalkers.

Added to which without Han Solo, whom most guys could identify with the OT would not have taken off as well as it did! No offence.

 

Yes I am..Characters like han, chewbacca, lando and jar jar are annoying..I usually skip over their parts

Not sure if anyone's said this, haven't read the other posts, but that would be interesting:

The PT focuses on the Skywalkers.
The OT focuses on the Skywalkers and the Solos
The ST focuses on the Solos.

It'd be a circle.

 

You'd need a ghost Anakin to guide his grandchildren if its the Solo's if only for the connection of the Skywalker bloodlines. The drawback here is that after the Special Editions it would not be an older Anakin, more likely Hayden instead.

I think it's safe to say the new movies are going to be about Luke and his offspring, but hey, you never know.

I think that may also have something to do with the fact that Star Wars is a film franchise which was ~20 years old at the time of Episode I, and it was a film about Knights in Space wielding brightly colored laser swords...

Yeah man. The Solo saga being a possibility as Disney are making spin off stories, set in the Star Wars universe. Therefore a Star Wars story not focussing on Skywalker's.

 

Again, i must say that the Saga was about the Skywalker lineage.
