I can't think of anything so I'm going with the last name Hunt, first name Mike one.

I know a woman named Pinky. And Indiana works only for a girl.

Names that are last names, are not first names.

Names that a verbs, are not first names ("Chase"?)

Names that involve changing vowels to make it sound exotic make it sound cheap (i.e. Michaela = Mykaylah = white trash).

Celebrities and the working class should need to get regulatory approval before naming their spawn.

There are a fair number of names that do not work with my last name. I am not, however, going to provide my last name in here.

 

I'm not even going to ask what kind of parent names their kid Assblast.

Okay, good time to run this by some people. I don't really like kids and am not sure I ever want kids, but if I did have a son someday, would it be horrible to name him Theron? (That's pronounced "THIR-run" not "Thuh-ROWN".)

 

Yeah... That's probably not the best thing to name a kid. It's not as horrible as say putting Superman's Kryptonian name on your kid's birth certificate, but I would say Theron is probably a "tease you on the playground mercilessly" type of name.

 

But it's my grandpa's name and I like it

 

I recently had the thought that Ianto would be a good boy's name. At least he could get away with just being called "Ian." That's not bad, right?


Besides the fact that I got the idea from a character on a mostly so-so sci-fi series.

(seriously, some New Zealand couple actually attempted to name their baby this - turns out they weren't allowed to (names aren't permitted to include a digit) so they settled on 'Superman' instead )

 

It's an old school name but it's not waaay out there. Besides if he hates it he could just go by Ron. Plenty of worse names out there.
