It's not just that. I know everyone thinks this series can do no wrong, but the last arc especially almost completely failed to grab me. More to the point, I have some serious problems with the characterizations of Jennir and his now-girlfriend, as well as the effectiveness of it ping-ponging between four or five simultaneous storylines at once. The fact that this arc was explicitly stated to just be filler to allow more time for the actual next arc to be completed...I don't know, I think this might be the first Dark Times I pass on.

This is the mini that Randy teased had "Earth-shattering" implications, right? [face_thinking]

EDIT: Oh, this is supposed to be filler before that arc? Bummer.

I am looking forward to it!
    Looks very promising...

Hopefully, an explanation will be given why K'Kruhk doesn't show up till Legacy. Maybe he will be stuck on a planet without transporations or something like that...

I think we will get an explanation for that. I believe it was mentioned by Randy somewhere.

The destruction of the Hat clearly opened a wormhole on K'Kruhk's head which will now suck him forward in time.

Or maybe K'kruhk just went to the dentist... and never showed up until Legacy!

K'kruhk vs Darth Vader... Now that would be one epic lightsaber battle. Probably won't ever happen though! [face_sigh]

Unless Kkruk just runs away to survive, no not going to happen. ;)

K'Kruhk would smash Vader every day of the week.

I want VADER with a HAT... vs. K'kruhk without HAT :p that would be Earth shattering

Vader did wear a hat in the Marvel comics (the issue in which Vader was leading an Imperial taskforce on Belderone)!

Let's be correct in our speech, please. I NEVER said that this arc was "filler" -- as it most assuredly is not. At least as far as I'm concerned. What I said was that this arc was not the one that I had originally intended to write next. To give Doug time to work on The New(er) Essential Guide to Characters, I needed to come up with another story which could be told in place of the planned Das Jennir arc (which Doug and I had already begun working on). I hope to God that doesn't automatically make it "filler."

In any case, "Fire Carrier" is a story that I eventually wanted to tell, I just didn't have it all planned out at the time I first spoke about it. Now I do.

You can read more about it here:

Yeah, if I remember correctly he wore a hat in Star Wars Annual 3: The Apprentice. Be sure to check it out...

It's probably too much to hope that the Jedi is Quinlan Vos. I'm hoping then it's Shaak Tii, but it won't surprise me if it is T'ra Saa.

I think following up on an unresolved plot doesn't qualify this as filler. I've been wondering what K'Kruhk & Crys's son have been up to for a long time now.
