Looks like a cross between an ISD and the Eclipse- I like.

I'm imagining that Luke will be flying his same old X-Wing, though now modified to keep up with the times. Imagine... after the opening crawl, the camera pans down to empty space, just before an X-Wing emerges from hyperspace right in front of it. And Luke's inside.... *goes off on fanboy daydream*

I could definitely see that opening. Immediately puts you back into the world of SW with a familiar character...

I'd rather see the Falcon fly by following the crawl.

Ideally... I'd like to see the Falcon and Jade Saber fly by after the crawl... as for new ships. What do you guys think KDY will crank out this time?

I'm all for new ships but could you imagine the new republic using a combination of both Imperial Ships and Rebel Alliance Ships or would they destroy all the Imperial Fighters, Interceptors, Bombers and Capital Ships before taking over?

Who was the guy who put Dark Empire ships into Firefly?

    He needs to get hired.

What about seeing Anakin's Podracer in the background of one scene if they go back to Tattooine? It could be old with parts missing off of it leaning against a wall somewhere, or even stored out the back of Watto's Shop.

I would like to see a giant shipyard in orbit, maybe making Mon Calamari cruisers or updated star destroyers. That could be a cool location for a fighter battle. And yes, more B-wings.

I hope the trilogy brings back the AT-AT. The movie theater would go crazy the first time an AT-AT is shown again.

I would be happy if the sequel trilogy featured AT-ATs or AT-STs, but (in my opinion) they don't have to be upgrated. I like them just the way they are!

Actually, I never really liked the starships and vehicles used by the rebels. I think the starships and vehicles used by the Empire were a lot more elegant.
The Lamba Shuttle is my favourite!

I like the "legged" vechicles also. The AT-ST is the one I prefer to see.

    For the Imperials:
AT-ATs, AT-STs, AT-PT's, TIE Fighters (maybe even ones from the EU like the Defender), Lambda Shuttles

    For the New Republic:
    X-Wings, Y-wings, B-wings, A-wings, V-wing Speeders, Mon Calamari Cruisers

    For Pirates/Bounty Hunters/etc.:
Preety much anything mentioned just under a different banner, including antique vehicles from the Prequels such as Jedi Starfighters

I'm really having a renewed love of T-47's (snowspeeders). They just never get used enough in Star Wars, and they're such an awesome, iconic design.

It's more than probable that you won't see any of these ships (bar the falcon).
We're safe to assume that if they cast the big 3, 30 years (give or take) will have past since RotJ and ship design will have improved. So you may at best you'll see an updated variation of the x-wing, y-wing etc.

To be fair, you're absolutely right. But it's also fair to point out that the Slave 1 and Tantive IV* showed up in almost their exact form in the prequels, as well as the bridge of the Jedi Cruiser/Star Destroyer. There's room for one or two vehicles to show up in their classic forms. For example, what if Luke is loyal to his classic X-wing?

*(don't give me that EU mess, it's the same ship!)

The lack of advancement between the PT and OT was a result of the Empires oppression, which stifled scientific growth. After the defeat of the empire, we may see a golden age of Star Wars Tech, with it advancing faster than ever before.

There was scientific growth- but it tended to be experimental mad science, in the service of the military.

Project Starscream in the Galaxy of Fear books, various superweapons out of Maw Installation, and so forth.

I always thought the AT-AT's were cool and was deeply saddened that they were used in only one movie.

One AT-AT appeared in RoTJ as well- but wasn't present in the battle. Wookieepedia's Battle of Endor article says it was crippled by the Rebel strike team.
