I wonder what Chewie would think about Christmas, and what kind of presents he would ask for. Any ideas?

Chewie would probably stay away from anything fancy. He isn't very materialistic. Maybe an upgrade for his crossbow or mechanics tools, ect.

I agree with you about Chewie's Christmas presents. He might want a comb and/or brush for his hair too. Lol!

What are your favorite Chewie moments from the films, or any books you may have read?

 

Han is my favourite character in Star Wars but Chewie is just ok for me. Don't love him nor dislike him. So is there a discount for a half membership?

 

I loved it when Chewie flipped out in ESB when Han was being frozen. Then Han talked him down and reminded him he had to watch over Leia. Just a good loyalty scene....then later when he chokes out Lando!

Great moments, Chewby! Poor Lando almost lost his life in making that deal with Vader.

Thanks, I can't make fun of Chewie. George made Chewie because he wanted a character that resembled his loyal dog that was always at his side. In a crazy star wars universe you'll need somebody loyal like Chewie.

I now have a talking chewie. He makes Wookiee noises just like in the films. My talking Chewie is soft like a stuffed animal.

Vector Prime was awesome!

 

Didn't care for it personally. Infact it turned my off of NJO.

 

It hurt very much but I got over it. I wanted to know how Han got over it and how the good guys would win. I had to know.

 

I never, ever, want to read that book again! How dare that author kill off Chewie! IMHO, that was an awful story, just because of Chewie's death.

Well, I didn't kill off my favorite Wookiee just because the EU did.

 

There was really no reason for her death in my opinion...it just didn't make sense.

 

They wanted to show the beginning of a new era. Make the stakes more real, show the possibility that the Big 3 could die. There is no sense of danger in the Bantam books. They wanted to kill someone off mainly Luke at first but Lucas nixed it. So Chewie was picked. Chewie really hasn't done anything.
Why should Salvatore get blamed for it? He's not the one that came up with the decision.

Besides Han's story afterwards was fun to read. See how Han dealt with it all.

 

In my opinion the Bantam books are more fun because of that trait. I'm just saying the way Chewie died was kinda.....pointless.

 

More fun perhaps but it does get old after a while.
Chewie's death threw the dynamic off. They all thought they were invincible, so showing that one of them could die and them recovering from that was the most emotional/mental change that they've had to deal with at this point.

 

I see your points, I just would rather they (a)not kill him off or (b) have his death be more important

 

He saved Anakin so that he would save Han and the rest of the civilians on the Falcon so that Han wouldn't sacrifice everyone trying to save Chewie and have everyone die.

 

Chewie still lives as far as I'm concerned. I don't care what the books say.

My talking Chewie sounds like the real one. Those Wookiee sounds he makes are perfect. I think of you Chewbacca89 when I make him talk.

 

My two favorite characters, yes I like this place already.
